The extensive corrosion protection on C/K Pickup begins with the use of two-side-galvanized steel for all exterior body panels (except the roof, where it is not needed). The galvanized-zinc coating prevents surface rust due to minor chips and scratches and helps prevent holes which start from the inside. That�s
double protection.
The frame receives added protection with a total submersion in wax. The inner and outer vehicle panels are coated by submersion in an electro-coat zinc primer before the application of primer surfacer and top coat.
Double-wall construction helps prevent dents to the inside of the cargo box and tailgate from showing on the outside.
Two-tier loading feature provides pockets in upper cargo box walls to create a second loading level above the wheelwells.
Welded cargo box eliminates bolts that can damage cargo or cause rust.
Standard Solar-Ray tinted glass reduces interior heat buildup and helps protect interior fabrics and materials from damaging UV rays
Standard covered underhood storage container can accommodate small tools, supplies and emergency

The basecoat/clearcoat paint used on C/K Pickup resists fading and provides a high-gloss shine for long-lasting exterior beauty. Clearcoat finish is used with all colors -- solids and metallics.
