| Pendulum. Alright, it's an antiquated plot; the war machine turned soft. Pendulum was my android. A mixture of the Human Torch, Number 5 (Short Circuit) and Data (Star Trek, NG). Pendulum was an unfinished, government funded project designed to replace human soldiers in combat. Each unit was supposed to have limited artificial inteligence in order to have decision making capabilities under fire. The prototype was too inteligent, however, and it began to develop feelings. When it found out what it was designed for, it escaped. The scientist in charge of the program was killed and Pendulum spends the rest of his time on the lamb. Yeah, I know, sounds an awful lot like the Zeta Project. Well, you know what they say; nothing's original. |
