There's no real rhyme or reason to doodles.  They're usually on the margins of notebooks and made when you're supposed to be paying attention to something else.  Most of these were made during class, some at work and the rest while watching tv.  The best thing about them is that we don't feel preasured to stick to rules of composition or by the fear of screwing up a drawing.  Some of my best first time poses have actually come from doodles.  My father was the first person to teach me what doodling is.  His doodles have extremely complex patterns that usually come together to form some sort of symbol (like a communion wafer being split into a peace sign over a wine cup).  Mine consist mostly of sketchy figure studies and experimentation of poses (not to mention creature invention when I doodle demons).  Because I use whatever writing utensil I have in my hand at the time, most of them are in pen.  The only class you really use a pencil for is math and I can't pay attention to numbers while doodling (it's too left brained) so you can be sure that any doodles I made in pencil resulted in a failed quiz  or a few days of playing catch up.  Since the doodles on margins tend to be small, I didn't resize these when I scanned them (alright, I admit it, I don't know how to resize yet).  On some of them, you can see how the doodles traced over to the other side and I just started a new one from that.  There's also a Mr. Fahrenheit experiment included.  Enjoy.
