Definition of Orphans Orphans in English called 'orphanage'. In the language of "orphan" is derived from the Arabic language. From fi'il Madli "Yatama" mudlori "yaitamu" dab mashdar "units" which means sad or means alone.
Terms Orphanage View of Islam As for the term Shari'ah is the orphan is a child who was left to die by his father before he reached puberty. Limit or period called orphan is a child until the child has reached puberty and adulthood. For people who've grown up and then lost their parents are not called orphans because they are already able to support and care for themselves. It is only suitable for children only because they can not afford care and support yourself and still need help and assistance from others.
Social obligations Caring for and maintaining the orphan is the social duty of every Muslim. And it is one of the rare Islamic struggle of people. Thus social problems arise because of four reasons, which do not honor the orphan, do not feed the poor, feeding the legacy (wealth) to the greedy nature, and love wealth in excess (see surah al-Fajr, paragraphs 15-20).
