The last of the official releases, Jimi was working on this album when he
tragically died. Alot of the tracks were only half complete with mixings,
Mitch Mitchell and Eddie Kramer re-mixed and put the best of the cuts
together for this release.Once again the album shows a new direction in
which Jimi was heading.
Jimi�s idea for this album were plans for a double or triple album. He had
prepared a lot of new material which was in various stages of completion.
The Cry of Love shows the recordings that were most complete at that
time.
