Spiral out... keep on going....
Well here it is... my art page. I don't know what to say about it really... I just love art... it's what keeps me going, and what keeps me sane. (When I say art, I include music too). Whatever strong emotions I'm feeling, if I can't write it down I draw or I paint and that's how I let everything out.
Some of them I will explain to you.. and some of them I'll just leave them.. because sometimes nothing needs to be said. There's a great quote from Brian Molko... "once you understand a work of art, it is no longer great and it loses it's value"  and it's true.
Hopefully soon enough I'll have all of my visual diaries scanned and put up here... but I have six now.. and my scanner is fucked up.. so just be patient! :)
Hope you get something out of this... If anything I created inspired someone else to create something beautiful, it'd make me so unbelievabley happy. And oh.. please no stealing!
My series of hand drawings.... it sort of came about from a stage I was going through where I felt I was going through some kind of internal metamorphosis....  and that slowly I was starting to discover those changes, and then allow everyone else to see them. I guess  I put that into this series as  the inside of the body  and the transformation creeping out.  I won't expand.. I'll just leave you to figure it out....
Joey Jordison... Drummer from Slipknot.... Guitarist for the Murderdolls... *sigh* ... He's just awesome.. and Sean.. I promise I'll get round to drawing you one just like it! I haven't forgot about it!

PHOTOS-
I have no idea where half my photos are... here are some for now... when I find more I'll scan them in! ... sorry about the dodgey scanning by the way!
Calvin Klein ad
This is a Calvin Klein ad I saw in a magazine at work.. I just had to sketch it... I dunno what it was but  there was something about it that I loooooved. This was with 6B and 8B water colour lead pencils

I started sketching listening to Tool.. and this came out.. I dunno what the hell it is... or  what it means... I've discovered I draw strange things when listening to Tool
I was painting one day and accidently noticed a face in one of my landscape drawings, and then set out to paint these...  the face of the girl in the night time sky is watercolour, black ink, and white chalk. The face in the water is watercolour and black pen.

Juliet
I was just watching Romeo and Juliet one night and liked all the silhouettes. This is just a lil something outta my visual diary... black acrylic paint with the  most of the image drawing done in white and black chalk, and a peach chalk pastel.

Again these all came about while I was listening to Tool... more specifically the song "Reflection' from the beautiful album 'Lateralus'.... the subject of the song experiences a point in his life where he's just taking pity in himself, feeling sorry for himself, and he sees the moon. The  fact that the moon is so beautiful and bright yet  gets its light from the sun inspires him to pull himself out of the hole he's kept himself hidden away. He says by letting the light reach him and touch him it will lift him out of a
'negative and blind and cynical'  place. These drawings are just a few of the many that came about from listening to this song.....
