So I was driving home from colorguard tonight, March 18th 2003, as usual.  I was driving up the road directly across from my front yard, when I notice reflective patches on the steep incline in front of my house.  I also notice my mom's "No War On Iraq" sign on the hill...rather than in it's little metal holder at the top.  As I get closer though, I realize that the reflective spots are not litter, but instead they are metal security signs.  Some crazy person actually drove around the neithborhood and collected all the little ADT signs from people's front yards and piled them in front of my house.  Here's where it gets confusing...as it turns out the anti-war sign I originally saw was not the one from my yard.  The one from my yard was viciously ripped and strewn about the lawn.  Okay, so currently we've deduced that someone is trying to threaten us by ripping our sign and putting security signs as some sort of warning.  But we've forgotten about the full, intact sign.  There were actually two of them, two clean, nice anti-war signs.  What does this mean?  I'm not exactly sure...but the vandal is sending mixed signals.  The ripped sign says war, but the two untouched signs say no war to me...I think this person is in need of help, their conflicting emotions will not allow them to decide whether the US should go to war or not.  My overall interpretation is that they are very angry and wish to take out aggression, in a warlike style, but at the same time they do not want the war to be on Iraq, and that is why there were two pro-Iraq signs left in our yard.  But just to give you an idea of the lengths this person went to...here are a few pictures from the event:
Here you see the original ripped sign, the sign replacing the ripped one, and the 6 security signs conveniently left for our enjoyment.
The nerve of some people...seriously.  Who cares this much?
