VITALOGY
1994
Possibly the best of a brilliant bunch, Vitalogy introduces yet another dimension to Pearl Jam's music with amazingly catchy riffs and unbelievably deep and meaningful lyrics. It would take a thousand listenings to get everything in this one, and with its infinite appeal that many listenings is not an unrealistic figure!
Although it didn't spawn too many singles, the album is packed with classics although it does challenge it's listener by throwing in quite obscure tracks such as the brief pry, to and the bizarre but poetically interesting Bugs. The last track, too, is an odd one, and overall the album is better suited for dipping into when in the mood rather than listening right through. Nevertheless, top stuff indeed.
