Manchester and Trafford Capri Clubs would like to thank all Capri owners
Who turned up to our "Show" in
Blackpool on September 9th 2001
This year we seemed to have much better weather than in previous years.
It was quite sunny and with no rain, would have been far better if the
Wind had managed to drop, but fortunately we did not have the heavy
Rains of 2000……
A "different" Capri…JBA Javelin
A very Tidy example of a 2.8injection "early spec",
at least this year we had Petrol to ensure we couldGet all Capri’s to Blackpool and back with no worries!!

We had the regular Capri280 meeting again, on the sea front, this year, the number was
Down on the previous year with a total of
12 parking up and only 5 going through the lights
"Al" then carried on with his walk round and took some more pictures……
(*same number plates!!)

4 Quality raffle prizes were on offer to win ,
The first prize being a Malt Whisky Presentation box, won by a Scotsman, who does not like whisky….
The last Raffle prize had to be drawn no less than 6 times until a winner was found!!
So, the day appeared to go very well, approximately
115 Capri’s turned up to Blackpool
65 Capri’s then left the Carpark, followed by 4
Capri280, to enter the lights cavalcade finally invading McDonalds at the St Anne’s end of Blackpool.
Despite the much better weather and the plentiful supply of petrol, numbers of Capri’s did seem
Less than expected, possibly may be due to the recent Shows, all a long travelling distance, this year, that seemed to follow each week on the trot??
