(William Regals is walking through the XWA Offices, he looks jet lagged and in a hurry.)

Regal: King of the Ring...three matches in one night...what is Mr McMahon thinking?

(Regal stops abruptly as a member of the XWA staff almost knocks him over with a trolley of videos.)

Staff Member: Oh, sorry William! Hey, you'll be wanting to get up to speed after your return from that trip of yours.

Regal: Yes I will. You almost gave me a closer look of the videos than I was expecting...hahaha, hmmm...*smile*...BUT, IF YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN, I'LL BLOODY THROTTLE YOU! Now, I will be along to the video room in about five minutes...I just need to visit Shane and make sure my Radio interview goes on the site. So, if you could be so kind as to prepare the room for me and don't forget my tea.

(William walks past the staff member and knocks on a door at the end of the corridor. We watch from a distance as William can be heard talking to Shane McMahon.)

William: Yes, yes it all went very well thank you. I'm just checking that the interview is...oh, marvellous. I'll just go and give it a quick listen before going to the video room.

*****************(Transcript of the radio interview on Talksport)**************

Alex Shane: Welcome back to Talksport, Simon is still here with us and we have Bill Apter on the phone aswell as Mo Chatra. But, joining us now is the second greatest English wrestler today...William Regal.

Regal: Thank you Alex, but you said second greatest?

Alex Shane: After myself of course!

Regal: Okay, so I'm currently in the XWA. I've held WWF and WCW gold, wrestled in every country that has wrestling and I've appeared on Pay Per View in front of thousands of people...but you think you're better than me? You know Mr Shane, I've been watching you quite closely for a while now and don't you think it's about time you wrestled in America or Japan...oh WAIT, you're currently injured aren't you. Why don't you just bloody shut up and ...

Bill Apter: William, William.

Regal: Ah, that's a familiar voice. Hello Bill, how are you?

Bill Apter: I'm just fine William...really enjoyed your match versus Crush and I'm just wondering what you think of th King of the Ring qualifiers.

Regal: Well, Crush was as easy as I expected. He put up a fight, like most big guys with little talent will do, but it just wasn't enough to defeat myself. The King of the Ring is a Tournament that I'm due a win in, but starting off against The Undertaker will not be easy. We all remember The Undertaker at Survivor Series 1991 or during the Pay Per Views in 1994...he looked fearsome, he still had the whole presence. But now, well he's a shell of his former self. Demanding respect, beating up people like The Hardys for no reason and driving around on a Motorcycle. It'll be an absolute pleasure to take him apart and move on in the Tournament.

Mo Chatra: Hello again William, it's Mo Chatra here. I'm just erm wondering about the urm stories involving Doug Williams and the XWA.

Regal: Doug Williams is an exceptional athlete and a superb heel. He is wasted in Britain, absolutely wasted. I met Doug when he was over in the States for the King of the Indies and he phoned me recently to ask about work in the XWA. It's quite possible you'll see him in action, maybe he'll have something to do with me...who knows. I'll say this though Doug Williams really does look the part, he has all the attributes needed of a fine heel wrestler.

Alex Shane: What do you think of other wrestlers over here?

Regal: Well, you have Jodie Fleisch, Jonny Storm, Robbie Brookside, Gary Steele, Johnny Moss and James Mason all wrestling Internationally and that's about it to be honest at the moment. Far too many Promotions, far too many wrestlers wanting to be a WWF carbon copy and not enough ambition. I'll use yourself as an example Alex. To the untrained eye you look quite well built, you look impressive...but in the XWA you'd be no more than a chubby boy who would get beaten down night after night. I mean, why on earth do you use balcony dives...you're 6ft 9 damnit man! We used to have our own style in the UK, it's why our wrestlers were wanted worldwide. Tom Billington, Davey Boy, myself, Marc Rocco...we all had something different and the UK scene needs to find that again. The fans out there listening tonight, you all need to realise that this isn't America.

Bill Apter: Back onto the King of the Ring. You could face RVD, Lance Storm, Jeff Jarrett, Kid Kash, Scott Hall and Scott Corino...any one of those wrestlers would prove a good test and are more than a match for yourself.

Regal: You're exactly right Bill, there is no noticeable gulf in quality and each of those men could, perhaps, defeat me. I'll talk a bit more about them all on XWA TV later in the week, but I feel that it may be Corino and then Kid Kash after that. Steve Corino has his own promotion, was a top competitor in ECW and has even been across to the UK...I have nothing but respect for who he is, but that doesn't mean I'm not prepared to take him out and give him a bloody good beating. Kid Kash, well I made my debut in XWA during one of his matches and he's far too light a wrestler to really trouble me. I could easily leave him looking like one of those balloons you make little animals out of at childrens parties.

Alex Shane: Well, that's all we have time for with William. I'd like to thank William for coming into the Studio tonight, even if he was a little nasty about me...

Regal: Nasty? Tell me where and I'll give you the wrestling lesson of your life, you insignificant little shitehawk.

Alex Shane: I'm Alex Shane, this is Talksport and we'll be right back.
