Some About Me

First off my name is Steven Sherman. I am 23 years old and have been working with computers for ten years. I took Leadership courses and Business Management courses in High School. I also was in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) throughout high school and went to districts all four years and went to state Junior and Senior years in Business Mathmatics and Information Technology. I am currently trying to further my education by going to OIT, PSU, or another tech school in computers.

In High School I loved working with computers so much I started a S.T.R.U.T. Program (students taking and recycling and reusing technology) and ran it by myself for 3 school years (no other students wanted to join thinking that it was boring!). My High School had 70 desktop computers and 30 laptops that became my responiblity to maintian and update. It took me no time to get the comptuers updated and upgraded but, I found out that maintaining them was a different story especially when they were used 8 hours a day 5 days a week almost non-stop.I only had 1 1/2 hours a day to work on them, I would get 3-5 computers fix, upgraded, and/or rebuilded altogether a day sometimes I would build backup computers so I could fix the broken ones. And all of the backup computers I built were dispersed throughout the High School, when I left the High School had over 200 desktop computers and 145 of them where in use.

I start working on computers when I was 13 because I needed to have a computer for school work and I bought a used one from a guy in the newspaper, well I thought it was the coolest thing ever until I noticed that it was extemely slow and the hard drive was filling up really fast. I was ripped off, but I decided I would try and upgrade it... several weeks, mistakes, and about $500 later it was complete. Ever since I have been updating and repair computers - sometimes alot of trial and error.

Now it has been over 10 years and I have gained lots of knowlage and experience becuase of working on computers. Now to go further in computers I must further my education and I am trying to go to collage for Information Technology, Network Administration, and Business Management. In order to pay for some of my schooling I decided to start doing computer work part time, that is when I started Fast and Friendly Computer Solutions in January of 2005.
