| Willard: What's your name? Campo: Maria Campo Willard: Where were you from? Campo: Toino, Italy Willard: What is your job exactly? Campo: I am a Fashion Designer Willard: Where do you live now? Campo: Minnesota, U.S.A. Willard: What is a typical day at work for you like? Campo: I start in the morning with paper-work and appointments, afternoons are for sewing and some appointments. Willard: What kind of schooling did you go to to become what you are today? Campo: I went to an Art School, but it wasn't really related to Fashion. Willard: How long was your training/education? Campo: In this business training and education are an on-going situation. Willard: Do you have any past jobs in this field? If so- what? Campo: Creating Willard: What is your least favorite thing about your job? Campo: Sewing (at times) Willard: What are your job duties? Campo: I mainly create. Willard: If you could go back, would you do it again? Campo: Absolutely Willard: What are the working conditions like? Where do you work? Are there any dangers or hazards for your job? What are the physical demands? Campo: I work on my own, so I create my working conditions. I have a Studio where I work. Not really. Long hours; some work standing and some work seated. Willard: What mental characteristics are needed for your job? Campo: Creativity, curiosity, interest, determination, focus, are some of the ones I can think of. Willard: How many hours do you work per week? Campo: At varies. From few to a lot! Willard: What part time jobs help gain experience for your job? Campo: Sewing, designing. Willard: And finally, what college/school courses did you take to get you where you are today? Campo: Well I didn't follow the classic path. For me, it happened by chance to be exposed to this business, and I was lucky enough to realize that this is what I really wanted to do in life. |
