Information about by truck:

Year: 1995

Engine:  3V-ZE V6

Transmission:  A340H Automatic, 4WD ADD

Milage:62XXX

Modifications and Options:

Warn Premium Hubs, Uniden 520XL CB mounted in ashtray slot with a 5' Wilson fiberglass antenna mounted to rear bumper, extended differential breathers front and back, K&N drop in filter, 31" tire option (used gear code to determine), Viper alarm, Draw-tite hitch, OEM trailer wiring harness, and a B&M transmission cooler.

Notes about the truck:

The truck pisses me off.  The check engine light comes on about every month, and the codes are always both rich and lean air-fuel mixtures (#25 and 26).  The O2 sensor was replaced by the incompetent dealer I bought the truck from 1 year and 5 months ago. The dealer is Soskin Southpointe Toyota in South St. Louis County, Missouri.

No obvious vacuum leaks, the head gasket was corrected at the factory (manufactured 11/95), new plugs at approx 45k miles, timing is correct.  I have ran every test the factory manual has suggested, and I still can't figure out why the light comes on. PCV valve has been replaced.  Mild rough idle.

It only comes on at idle. It stays on for approximately three days then goes out.

Any suggestions? Farwig

I use Berryman Chemtool to remove carbon buildup and reduce the pinging problem this engine has.

Off-road.com, Outdoorwire and Pirate4x4 are very informative web pages for Toyota trucks.  SUV.com is good for newer trucks (3.4L)
