SECTION - I

Q.1A PENTAGONAL PYRAMID, BASE 50mm  SIDE AND AXIS 90mm LONG IS RESTING ON ITS BASE ON THE H.P. WITH  TWO OF ITS ADJACENT SIDES OF THE BASE EQUALLY INCLINED TO THE & NEARER TO THE V.P.   A VERTICAL HEXAGONAL PRISMATIC HOLE IS MADE IN THE  PYRAMID, SUCH THAT THEIR AXES COINCIDE, WHILE A RECTANGULAR VERTICAL FACE OF THE HOLE  IS PARALLEL  TO THE V.P. THE SIZE OF THE BASE OF THE PRISMATIC HOLE IS 25.

(A) DRAW THE LINES OF INTERSECTIONS IN THE PROJECTIONS. [10 MARKS]

(B) DEVELOP THE CUT PYRAMID . [7 MARKS]

Q.2]A VERTICAL HEXAGONAL PRISM , WITH BASE SIDE 40mm , HAS ONE OF ITS VERTICAL FACES PERPENDICULAR  TO THE V.P.  IT IS COMPLETELY PENETRATED BY A CYLINDER OF DIAMETER 40mm , THE AXIS OF WHICH IS PARALLEL TO BOTH THE H.P. AND THE V.P. AND IS 20mm INFRONT OF THE  AXIS OF THE PRISM.

(A) DRAW THE LINES OF INTERSECTIONS IN THE PROJECTIONS. [10 MARKS]

(B) DEVELOP THE CUT SOLID . [7 MARKS]

Q.3. SHOW BY NEAT FREE HAND PROPORTIONATE SKETCH , TWO VIEWS OF THE FOLLOWING.
TRIPPLE RIVETED SINGLE COVER , BUTT JOINT USING RIVETS IN CHAIN ARRANGEMENT
