SECTION--I

Q-1]A VERTICAL CYLINDER OF DIA.70 mm & LENGTH 110 mm IS PENETRATED BY A HORIZONTAL HEXAGONAL PRISM OF BASE SIDE 25 mm & LENGTH 100 mm AT ITS MID-HEIGHT.THE AXIS OF THE PRISM IS PARALLEL TO BOTH THE REF.PLANES and IS 5 mm INFRONT OF THE AXIS OF THE CYLINDER.ONE OF THE RECTANGULAR FACES OF THE PRISM IS PARALLEL TO THE V.P..DRAW THE PROJECTIONS OF THE SOLIDS, SHOWING THE CURVES OF INTERPENETRATION & DRAW THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CUT SOLID SURFACE. .....[10+7=17 MARKS].

Q-2]A PENTAGONAL PYRAMID OF 35mm SIDE,100mm AXIS IS STANDING ON ITS BASE ON THE GROUND, WITH A BASE SIDE PARALLEL TO and AWAY FROM THE VP. IT HAS A CO-AXIAL [VERTICAL] CYLINDRICAL HOLE OF 30mm DIA.DRAW THE PROJECTIONS OF THE CUT PYRAMID SHOWING THE CURVES OF INTERSECTION IN THREE VIEWS.ALSO DRAW THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CUT SOLID SURFACE....................................................................................[10+7=17 MARKS].
