THE SEMI-HEXAGON IS CDEA , WITH THE CENTRAL SIDE ED EQUAL TO 30 mm., PARALLEL TO THE COMMON LINE AC. AN IN-ELASTIC STRING BP OF LENGTH 150 mm , IS ATTACHED TO THE COMPOSITE PLATE AT THE POINT B. IT IS WOUND ROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE COMPOSITE PLATE , BY ONE CONVOLUTION , KEEPING THE STRING ALWAYS STRETCHED TIGHT. DRAW THE PATH OF THE END POINT P , NAME THE PLANE CURVE. IT IS CUT BY A VERTICAL SECTION PLANE SUCH THAT THE H.T. OF THE SECTION PLANE IS 35 mm FROM THE APEX AND PASSING THROUGH A POINT ON THE AXIS 20 mm FROM THE CENTRE OF THE BASE PLANE.
