"He served in the army and later became a sailor in Norway saling for twenty-three years on fishing and trading boats, touching points in South America, North America, Iceland, Spain, France, England and Cuba.
He farmed in Campbell county for many years and in 1937 moved to Corson County. In the spring of 1947, he moved to the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. E. Nordstrom {Agnes}, where he made his home until his death on March 5, 1948" from the 90th Anniversary Norway Lutheran Church 1885-1975.
