About us
We are Mandy Gary, Joe and Lois and we live in Manchester, England. We have had Bull Terriers now since around 1987, longer than we have had children.  Prior to getting Holly in 2001 our dogs had been purely pets, we discovered the world of showing when Holly joined us, we have met some good friends and the dogs enjoy it.  We were granted the Affix Pigpadz in April 2005 after having our first litter of puppies, an extremely exciting and apprehensive time. We also spend some of our time working with Rescue, we foster, transport , homecheck and assess dogs, it is challenging at times but so worthwhile.  I

Our first experience of a bully was a stray we called Tyson, a Brindle Dog. Unfortunately Tyson's owner turned up after 3 months and he went home but by this time we were smitten.   I will admit that on meeting Tyson for the first time it was not love at first site, Gary handed me the lead and walked off, I am sorry to say I referred to him as an "ugly thing" within minutes he had rested his head on my lap and that was it.  Whilst in hospital after giving birth to Joe, I got a special visitor, Gary had found Tyson roaming again and brought him to visit me before he took him home, luckily I was able to go outside into the gardens to get a cuddle. When Gary took him home another offer to buy Tyson was refused.  We later learned that Tyson had eventually been sold due to the fact that he was destroying his owners house, a problem we did not encounter whilst he was with us.

We then went in search of our own puppy, and went to visit Ron & Jackie Gates in Warrington. Whilst looking at a litter we were introduced to 'mum' and were told she was was for sale. After much whispering by the car we went home that same day with her, 'Sue'  lived the rest of her long life with us, always faithful and brought us so much joy.  Sue liked nothing more than having an afternoon nap  in our bed.

After having Sue for 12 months we were presented with a pup of nine months who's owner had been letting her fight with a much older Staff. Though we only lived in a flat at the time she was in such a state we had to keep her. Tess lived with us to be 13.

Both dogs lived together on the whole quite happily, they did have the odd little spat, but nothing major and it was always forgotten about quickly.
During the time we had our Bullies we had two children and never had a problem.

We can never imagine life without a bully in it, and our children already talk of how many they will have when they get their own homes.  Have a look around, hope you enjoy your visit.
