Subject: Candle

Since Belle's passing I have kept a candle burning on the mantle
next to a cross-stitch picture my wife did of her.  We had her
cremated and were waiting for her final trip home, home for good.

Well, yesterday afternoon Belle made that trip home from the
doctor's office, this time for good.  So I set her urn on the
mantle, next to the latest candle (still burning) and the picture.
Later that evening, my wife noticed that the candle was out.  It's
too high for the kids to mess with; I didn't do it; she didn't do
it.  It was down near the bottom but there was still wax and wick.

Coincidence?  Perhaps, but there are some really
amazing "coincidences" posted on this board from time to time.

I still miss that dog.

For Belle,

So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart

********

Gone but never forgotten, she is greatly missed by all her friends
here, as well.
