Liorinin's
Theme
Legends tell us it was the sound of the wind whispering along trees that
prompted the founders of the clan to journey far and wide from Eluten
in search of its source. In their journeys they learned many wondrous
things that are shared within the clan to this day. However,
the source of the wind has yet to be found. It is said that these
elves will continue to wander until they capture this knowledge, but it
is more likely a love simply grew in their hearts for adventure and discovery.
The elves of Liorinin are known as great explorers who often seek dangerous
quests in the spirit of adventure. Each path tread offers a
new experience or acquisition of wisdom. They are fearless in courting
danger and can often be found traveling far from Eluten on an errand or
even a whim. The passion for unearthing new knowledge has grown within
them, and this path has lead them to discover lost or forgotten secrets
that have been used to strengthen the clan. Items have been forged
with this lost knowledge, and upon each can be found the simple symbol
of Liorinin -- three wavy lines, one above the other, representing
the wind.
Watching over and guiding the clan is the Ethereal Wind of Liorinin.
It is said that the Ethereal Wind possesses a natural kinship with the
wind, that allows him or her to let its spirit fill him or her and grants
the wisdom to lead the clan. The Ethereal Wind is aided by the four
Winds of Liorinin. Each of the Winds have returned to Eluten with secrets
they have discovered in the surrounding lands and guide members of the
clan on quests to discover the winds' spirit becoming a Wind Dancer of
Clan Liorinin. Together these five Winds form the leadership and
maintain the bond of brotherhood that shines brightly within the clan.
The sense of family is strong within Liorinin, and few who pass through
the wind to join them will ever leave. The members turn to
one another for aid and friendship. This brotherhood is truly their
greatest strength, and has been displayed in the courage they showed in
wars fought against both the drow and orcs. Each member is willing
to die for another, and as such, they maintain a sense of unity like
no other found in these realms.
Perhaps the elves of
Liorinin will one day find the source of the wind that sweeps the four
corners of the land, but for now they continue to wander throughout the
realms always searching for whatever lies beyond the next hill.
