MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

I am Farrah Dyan Padua Rivera born in the 8th day of june year 1986 at the City of Urdaneta, Pangasinan. I am the second child among the six children. My parents are Mr. Francisco Tamayo Rivera and Mrs. Delma Padua Rivera. We are currently residing at Liwan West, Rizal, Kalinga and we do farming for living.

I took my pre-elementary schooling at Saint Mathias Church and Elementary Education at Liwan West Elementary School where I become an athlete and graduated with flying colors. I had my secondary Education at Rizal National School of Arts and Trades where I retain my being athlete, honor student and joined extra-curricular activities like school dance troupe where I became the Dance Leader, CAT officer and I ranked as the Executive Officer of the Alpha Company.

During my high school day I experienced a lot and learned a lot. I guessed it was the part of my life that was very colorful. I had my barkada and others. Also in high school I had shown that I was not only good in sports but also in academic because I have passed the DOST( Department of Science and Technology) scholarship grant and I was so proud because imagine there was only three of us who passed among the other student who take the exam in our school.

I was very excited in entering college, my first option was to study at STI Tuguegarao city but because of the requirements of my scholarship that we will have to attend the SOEP( Social Orientation Enrichment Program) which was held in University of the Cordillera formerly known as Baguio Colleges Foundation, May 1, 2002. For almost One month attending the SOEP I find Baguio to be nice to stay and study with. I changed my plan instead of enrolling to STI Tuguegarao, I enrolled at the University of Baguio where my scholarship was used. But because its not enough to finance all my expenses. My sister convinced me to try-out as a varsity player. I accept her proposal I attended try-outs and it was successful and given a class 'A' rate it means I am 100% in all the fees in school plus a free board given by the University. I already attended some games like BEAL-CARTESA and luckily I won my game and last summer I attended the CHED-PALARO held in Bacolod city.

Right now I am a third year student taking up 3 year Computer technology and enjoying the benefit given by the DOST scholarship and at the same time the Athletic scholarship. It was so hard for me first because I had difficulty dividing my time on academics and athletics. But as the time passed I managed too.

I hope that i will graduate in due time. And lastly I will share to you this: Poverty is not the one that will prevent you on getting Education because I believe that there are ways to attain it.
