Idaho, USS- Galaxy Class. The Idaho was under the command of Capt Kiser. In 2369, the Idaho and the USS Madison were sent to Brundage Station to help the USS Enterprise fight the Fury Fleet. The Idaho was sent to pick up the Rath�s crew poppets in storage. (TNGN INV: Soldiers of Fear) The Madison and the Idaho went to Deep Space Nine to help the station against the Cardassians and the Ghost Riders. (DS9N The Big Game) In 2373, the Idaho was the closest vessel to the Madison and Defiant. The Idaho was part of the small fleet to battle the Mist Grey Squadron. (DS9N TCT The Mist)
Ilan Ramon, USS- Lt. Taurik served on this vessel during the Dominion War. (TNGN A Time to Sow)
Impeller, USS- The Impeller was a cutter under the command of Capt Merkling. In 2280, the Impeller was part of an expedition to the planet, Belle Terre. The Impeller escorted the SS Yukon until Orion slave ships heavily damaged the Impeller. (TOSN NE: Wagon Train to the Stars) The Impeller used its sensors to try and help find some missing children on Belle Terre, but was unsuccessful. The Impeller was a part of both attempts to save Belle Terre, in which the last one was successful. (TOSN NE: Belle Terre) (TOSN NE: Belle Terre)
Imperious, USS- Registry NCC-75133. Achilles Class. In 2374, a Dominion Fleet attacked the shipyards where the Imperious was being built. The Imperious was able to help push the enemy fleet back. The Imperious came under the command of rescued Lt. Thomas Riker who became Captain. (DW)
Inaieu, USS- Defender Class. In 2270, the Inaieu greeted the Enterprise, when the Enterprise came back from testing the inversion drive. (TOSN The Wounded Sky)
Incursion, USS- Registry NX-74808. Incursion Type. In 2377, the Incursion was under the command of Capt. Marcus Refelian. (STAT)
Independence, USS- Constitution II Class. The Independence was under the command of Capt Wiley. In 2338, the Independence was on a routine Romulan Neutral Zone patrol, when they discovered the Hermeticus Ark. After making contact with the ark�s inhabitants, the Independence was stricken with a disease. Roughly half of the crew was killed. The Independence was abandoned and the crew went to the ark. The ambimorphs took the shape of four officers and used a shuttle to infiltrate Starfleet Command. In 2368, the USS Enterprise and the IRW Syrinx discovered the Independence in orbit of the Hermeticus Ark. Comdr Riker led a team to the Independence to fight their Romulan captors. After the ambimorphs stopped the Romulans, the Independence was towed with the Syrinx to another location and both of the vessels were destroyed to look like a battle. (TNGN The Romulan Prize) It was never said to be a refit Constitution Class, but I assumed all of the Constitutions were refitted.
Independence, USS- Ambassador Class. In 2354, the Independence left Spacedock. (TNG SAYR The Haunted Starship) In 2369, Cadet Vorik served his midshipman cruise on the vessel. (SC: W) In 2376, the Independence was under the command of Capt Garfield. Capt Riker served on the vessel for a short time in that year. (TTN TFTCT: Improvisations on the Opal Sea)The Registry was NCC-41452, but I felt it was too high for an Ambassador Class..
Indianapolis, USS- In 2375, the Indianapolis was five hours away from Earth when the Breen attacked. (TDW Eleven Hours Out)
Indomitable, USS- Constitution Class. In 2270, the Indomitable was docked at Starbase 18. After the Enterprise returned from the inversion drive test trial, the Indomitable greeted the Enterprise in the Sol System. (TOSN The Wounded Sky) At Starbase 18, the Indomitable was considered small, but at the end of the book, the Indomitable was a Constitution Class vessel. They could be different vessels altogether.
