This site was created to make a reference for the various starships in the Star Trek Universe from On-Screen, Novels, Computer Games, Comics, and selected Technical Manuals. The site contains the raw data for the starships. At this time, (because of the rookieness of my website skills) I will not be putting starship pictures or other pictures. I hopefully will expand more into the future. I am open to advice and help, if any would like to give it. Because of the massive amount of data I have, not all of the data will be displayed at once.
Example of an Entry
Aldebaran, USS- Nebula Class. In 2374, the Aldebaran was part of the Task Force sent to retake the Setlik System from the Dominion. (SCE VI: War Stories) In 2376, the Aldebaran was destroyed in battle against a rogue Jem�hadar vessel. The Aldebaran was under the command of Capt Robison. (DS9N Avatar I, SCE II: Invincible) The wreckage of the Aldebaran caused the Bajoran wormhole to open every few hours. Jake Sisko used the wreckage to sneak into the wormhole on the Venture. (DS9N Avatar II)
Any type of behind the scenes or other information outside of the Star Trek Universe and/or pieces of information that does not fit (this is mainly for the off-screen materials) and/or information that I feel of an opinion about, will be put into italics at the end of the entry.
Sources that I am not using.
There are a various different sources that I will not be using in the Encyclopedia for the reasons that they just list ship names with their classes with no history, or have numerous ship names and very little histories. I will use some sources if the ship was referenced in their book, computer game, and other sources. I will not use all of Franz Joseph works, but if they are specifically referenced then I will use that resource. This goes the same for the computer games that uses many classes and many names.
Nimitz, USS- Sabre Class. In 2365, the Nimitz was under the command of Capt Andy Borja. The Nimitz was sent to explore an uninhabited planet. The Nimitz was an exploratory ship. (TNGN A Rock and A Hard Place) In 2371, the Nimitz transported Adm Nechayev to a meeting with Gul Eska and with the Hood. (The Brave and the Bold Bk 2) The Nimitz was in service in 2378. (SC III)
In TNGN A Rock and A Hard Place, the Nimitz was only referenced by name. The same for The Brave and the Bold. Starfleet Command III lists the Nimitz as a Sabre Class. Judging from the registry number of the USS Yeager NCC-61947, that the name, Nimitz, does work for all three cases. If a name is referenced in SC III and it conflicts with the reference in another source, the SC III reference will be disregarded.
In the entries, I use the AU to symbolize Alternate Universes which include Alternate Timelines and Futures, so that AU 2400 does not necessarily mean the same universe as AU 2405.
