Fleet Announcements & Ship News:

Once again I, Kay Savacool, aka Shyloe Townsend-McNitt of the HN, have agreed to resume the Editor of the FPF Newsletter.  Although volunteers are welcome to the job if they find they have extra time.  Just inform Russ or me.

Vice Admiral Nniol N’Var (AJ) and Rear Admiral AC MacGyver (Jade) have resigned their commissions and  we wish them luck with their future endeavors.  That isn’t to say they may not return to us someday if real life allows them.

Onto the real news.  Seems the few bumps in the Administration of the Fleet have been resolved and Admiral Mirtoh (Russ) will announce the changes soon.  In the meantime, the ships kept moving forward and we should all pat ourselves on the back.  The CO’s and their crews kept the level very professional.

Mission Summaries:

*Horation Nelson

The Nelson continued with their jump into a changed future where the Federation was the enemy.  The Genesis Post of the last month introduced a new character on the Nelson, Lt. Reenal Torbin.  We met his future self before the real one back in our time.  Our Marines and Zisa did a fine job at getting the information needed to hopefully stop a Federation attack back in 2385, 2 years from our current year.  We all made it back safely thanks to all the crew.

*Excalibur

Summery: The Excalibur finished repairs at SB25. While attempting to
contact Dr. Cattivo onboard the USS Washington Capt Andrews discovered
that they were missing. Further investigation revealed the Washington
was in trouble. Adm Martok sent the Excalibur to investigate.
Arriving in Murtaw space they found the Washington's crew under the
control, via hostages, of two warring factions of the Murtaw.
Utilizing the "metal virus" developed by the Washington's Engineer,
they developed a plan to rescue the hostages. Using an inventive
combination of the ships' transporters, buffers and the auxiliary
vessels' transporters, as well as unique shield configuration they
managed to retrieve all crew members. Through the use of the "metal
virus" they force both sides to stand down, neatly averting the war
without violating the Prime Directive. Excalibur then escorted the
Washington back to SB25. Upon arrival Dr. Jantika recieved a message
from the JAG office where a petition to disolve her marriage was filed
by someone from her homeworld.

Editor's Note:  The 4th Annual Las Vegas Star Trek Convention is going to be held August 11-14th, 2005 at the Las Vegas Hilton.  The 12th is Rick, aka RAM and my RL husbands birthday (40!).  Hoping to get our arses out there at least 1-2  days.  The rates aren't cheap at the Hilton, but am looking around for better, and if you get to StarTrek.com and read their latest news you'll see all the actors that will attend:  Shatner, Brooks, Mulgrew and PATRICK STEWART!  lol.  Just a little head's up on the info.  Also, Jolene Blalock, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, Nana Visitor, JOHN DE LANCIE, LeVar Burton and our favorite Ferengi; Armin Shimerman (Quark).   I really want to go and am looking at prices now.  We want to stay the 12th and 13th if possible.  Let me know if interested.  Thanks.

Also, I tried my best for this month's newsletter and the information I had.  I'll do better next time, promise.

Sincerely,

Kay Savacool
