Fleet Announcements and Ship News

Thanksgiving is a great holiday.  I enjoyed it with friends and family.  I hope everyone else had an enjoyable time as well.  Now it’s time to go shopping-did you remember to include everyone on your list?  I enjoy anything bath related, if you are interested.....lol

The Fleet is still in the top 20 of the voting sites found on the FPF website.  Please vote every chance you get, it only increases our exposure.  Also, the Far Point Fleet website has a great amount of information on it.  It has posting guidelines, Fleet history as well as policies that answer frequently asked questions you may have.  Check it out, Russ has done a wonderful job.

For Immediate Release:  Cmdr. Kenneth Zisa (Chris of the HN) has been promoted to CO of the Washington, to replace Danen Llurin (Kaye).  He will assume duties when the two can sort things out between themselves.  Congrats Chris!

The Alliance CO, Amman Desai (Adam), a member of the A for a long time and good friend has also tendered his resignation as CO.  A new Captain search is on and encourage all A folks to let their voices be known to their CO as soon as possible.  From a CMO (almost drug dependent-and tortured soul character) Desai was first portrayed as, he has grown into a great CO.  We will miss you and hope you will remain as character on a ship or two.  You have done the Alliance a great service as CO.  Thank you, Adam.

Summary:  After confrontations with both the Base CO and the Admiral,

Logan manages to work out some precautions to guard his crew on the

base as well as the Excalibur.  Meanwhile Dominick struggles with the

authorities in the future, who refuse to let him stay during his

wife's surgery.  They escort him back to the portal chamber and send

him through.  However he ends up not back home but somewhere else.  He

encounters the man who would start the "re-animate's war" and aids

him.  The simple act of kindness alters the man's overall perception

of the world around him, forever changing the future.  It is not known

who actually sent him there.  A portal then appeared and took him

home, where his wife appeared shortly afterwards, recently, but not

fully, recovered from her life-saving surgery.

The Excalibur received it's next mission, to survey several systems,

cataloging them and searching for signs of advanced civilizations. On one world, they discovered a distress signal.  The world appeared to

be pre-warp but was suspending "off-world trading".  Some sort of

pandemic was occurring.  The crew struggles with whether or not

rendering aid would violate the Prime Directive.

Captain's Notes:  First, Welcome Aboard to Lt T'Shar our new Chief Tactical Officer.  I hope that you enjoy or small eclectic crew and

have a good time simming her.  Secondly, a good job to everyone.  Another slow month but with good posts.  I know the holiday season is

slowing us down but we'll recover.  Everyone have a safe and merry holiday season.

Mission Synop: As the ship leaves their dock at SB25, they run into
a bounty hunter who has information in regards to some federation
debris found on a distant planet. As they journey to the sector,
originally for the purpose to make a presence of the federation
known, they encounter their enemy, the  Hilta, a force to be
rekonned with. In a last ditch effort, the ship separated into the
three, Commander Zisa made his way to the homeworld, of the Iconi,
in the seventh sector.

While Zisa and the away mission were there, the Captain took an away
team down to the planet, again to make some alliances with the local
people. Not to their knowledge, they were already under a
protectorate of the Hilta. The nelson barely escaped their initial
meeting with the Hilta and their mile long ships, just to re-
encounter them again, while awaiting the Zisa to return.

Editor's Note/Opinion

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy holiday for December.  Please keep on posting as you may be the one to cheer up another FPF member with your wit and humor.

Last year, I (Shyloe Townsend), took out an entire deck of the Star Base for some added fun on New Year’s Eve. (I was lucky, the Admiral was out of town and left me in charge!)

The storybook is open my friends, let us read what you have to offer.  I rub my hands in anticipation.

Good Night and Good Luck,
