This character is responsible for gathering,
analyzing and reporting information about species and other intelligent
lifeforms. The Intel Officer reports directly to the Captain or Executive
Officer, and has no direct line authority over ship operations.
This is a specialist position that sees a relatively low level of inclusion and
is featured mostly in space faring missions.
