2. Country Painting- done on wood, metals(tin), slate or furniture. Includes Rosemaling, Pennsylvania Dutch, and Tole.
3. Theorem Painting - painting with oils, acrylics or watercolors through a stencil onto velvet, velveteen, silk or valour paper.
4. Fabric Painting - on place mats, wall hangings, etc. (Shirts, Jackets, etc. belong in Clothing Decoration category)
b. Faux Finish/Marbleizing - done on paper, wood, plaster, metal, or fabric. Simulations of finishes to reproduce look of marble, wood, or stone.

Adaptation - the piece is adapted from a picture or photo or another medium (e.g. knitting pattern/kit was entirely changed. It is not an adaptation when you used a purchased graph/pattern and bought all the needed materials to complete the piece.
Kit - -purchased kit or a purchased graph/pattern or a graph/pattern from a book or magazine using specified colors to make the needlework.
If the graph/pattern is not your own design it is a KIT or ADAPTATION.

21.ORIGINAL ART - National Painting Contest Rules: Entry must be no larger than 14" x 16"(including matting) and no smaller than 10" x 12"(including matting). Entries on materials other than canvas must be matted. No frames or glass will be sent to National Contest.. Pastels should be sprayed with a fixative. State Original Art Rules: Entry miust conform to National Painting Rules except Artwork may be any size. All paintings must be original. Bring stand or easel with your name and club on the stand for display at State Convention.
