Oh boy. An entire site could be built about this sprayer. It has undergone
many changes, from minor to major. Right now, as it stands, this is
a 120 foot high-pressure sprayer. The fully suspensioned chassis rides at
about 3 1/2 feet and carries a GMC 350 V-8 with automatic transmission.
The open-center hydraulics run a piston pump for the spraying system which we
run at 100-175 psi. As pictured, the unit has hydraulically operated and
dampened pneumatically and hydraulically. Structural booms (as compared to
the suspension booms they replaced) span a full 120 feet in 2 sections per wing.
The booms carry click-on style nozzle bodies in which we usually use
5 or 10 gallon nozzles. The tank is rated at 900 US gallons. We often
spray 100+ acres in one tank in a little over 1 hour. The unit is equipped
with an OutbackS GPS for guidence and has a Peacock foam marker as a reference. |
