The seeder stopped.
Here you can see a bit of how the seeder works.  Of off each red hydraulic cylinder is the bar that the opener arms are bolted to.  Each arm (rockshafts, we call them) is 5 or 6 arms.  Each rockshaft piston is connected in series with all the other rockshaft piston allowing all rockshafts to exert an equal pressure on the arms.  So, if the arms of one rockshaft is running over a ridge, it oil from it's piston can flow to the other pistons, some of which might be running in a slight rut.
