The PSX Serial Port
This is a little hack which makes your PSX serial port acts like normal
PC serial port and you can connect your PC to PSX simply with null-modem cable.
After you have connect your PSX and PC together you can transfer your home made
Playstation software (like demos, intros and other programs) from PC to PSX,
without burning them first to CD-R.
To use this hack you need SIOCONS and NetYaroze BootCD, if you are lucky you can find these from the internet... or you can use Hit-Serial v1.3 which you can find from my software page.
Part list:
- 2 * MAX232 voltage converter
- 1 * IC 7400 (4 NAND)
- 10 * Capacitors 1uf 16V
Note: You need PIA software to
use my PCB layouts ! Otherwise you have to use some kind of
Euro printcard or you have to desing you own PCB with some other program. Here you can find the schematic's
Here is screen capture from PIA, where you can
see how to put your parts to PCB. Those little yellow things are capacitors. I try to get better picture as soon as possible.
Here is PCB layout in PIA format. (If download does not work, press Shift and then click the link)
Here is two pictures of PCB without components 1 and 2. It's not so beautiful but hey, it's only a prototype ;)
