Workshops for fall 2004

September 26 - Morocco - Shikhat We’re thrilled to have Mina join Farideh in introducing us to traditional Moroccan dance. This is a rare opportunity to learn this beautiful dance form. Register immediately space is limited.

October 17 - Egyptian Rhythms - with live drummer! Whether a beginner or advanced student, you will love this workshop and learn a lot. Farideh will take you through these rhythms from the simple to the complex with the aid of a live drummer, Niel Golden. You will learn to recognize the rhythms and the secrets to moving in the music. This is a very popular workshop and it fills up fast, I would advise you to confirm your spot right away.

October 24 - Veils - Upper Body - Hands Yes! You too can learn to have beautiful hand movements and lovely arms. Our dance may well be referred to as “hip dance” or “belly dance” but our arms are the frames that highlight our hip plus bring grace and refinement to our movements. Bring your veils and be prepared to have a great time.

Excalibre Dance Centre for the Performing Arts - 4814 West Saanich Road Begin at 3 pm sharp and are 2 hours long with a short break. Each workshop is $40. Ask about group rates and multi workshop rates.
