| Searching for the destiny - Chapter 6: The worst nightmare They stepped into the elevator and pushed the only button. The elevator shacked a little bit, but went down. Everyone was quiet until it reached the basement and they got out. The door opened and they found themselves in a small gangway. There were no lamps, but it wasn't completely dark. "I hate basements! I bet there are spiders here!", muttered Sephia. Mew was frightened and flew back into the bag, glancing out. "Wow!", Sephia shouted and ran forward. Suicune followed fast. "What's wrong?" "Look!" Suicune looked at the wall. "I can't see something special..." Mew flew out and nuzzled Suicune in happiness. "What the hell is there?", asked Suicune impatient. "Suicune! It's a corner! A CORNER! No damn endless gangway!" "Oh...." "Suicune, you are boring. Let's go!" They turned the corner and saw another one. After moving forward, they were at a bifurcation. "Maybe we should divide up? I move left and you two move right?" "No, Suicune. I don't understand Mew and maybe we'll miss each other. Let's throw a coin!" Sephia got a coin out of her pocket. "Head is right, number is left!", she yelled and threw the coin high in the air. It landed. "Head! We go right!" Mew purred and grabbed the coin, biting on it. "No Mew, you can't eat it! It's money!", Suicune told the disappointed Mew. Sephia laughed and went on. "Aaaah!", she yelled suddenly. Suicune and Mew forgot about the coin and turned the corner as fast as they could. Sephia stand in front of another bifurcation. Before the two Pokmon could say something, Sephia ran back and into the left gangway, her friends followed. They saw the next bifurcation, this time with three more gangways. Sephia started crying. Suicune Mew nuzzled her and Suicune went in the left new path. After a few seconds, she came back. "Guess what I've found! I think we're in a maze." Mew flew away from the crying girl and looked into the right way. "Mew mew mew! Mew mew mew mew mew! (Suicune, I'm afraid! We'll get lost in here!)" "We must mark our way so we can go back. Sephia, do you have a pencil?" The sobbing girl nodded and put a black pen out of the bag. "Good! Let's go back to the elevator to mark the way from the start and then we'll move on!", Suicune said happy, trying to comfort the girl. Sephia stood up. "Ok...let's go." The three friends moved back to the first bifurcation and then straight forward to get to - a dead end. "Huh? I was sure we moved correct..." Suicune went back and returned after a few seconds. "We ARE right! I've found the coin at the forking! But where is the elevator?" She ran away again. "The other ways lead to a dead end and another bifurcation! This....isn't right....what is happening?", she stammered after coming back, fear and panic in her usually calm voice. She went away again, the others followed this time. Suicune left the coin at the first forking and the three ran left and left again and when they found just more new ways, they turned back and then right. This was another dead end. Finally, they went back to the start. "I...I...don't understand this....", whispered Suicune. Sephia hugged the legendary Pokmon and felt that Suicune was shaking. Recognising that even Suicune was helpless now, she started crying again and Mew joined in. They sat there for several minutes before Sephia managed to stop crying. "Ok, we are lost in this maze because the elevator disappeared, right?", she asked. Suicune nodded. "But an elevator can't disappear that easily, right?" Suicune nodded again. "So I say: It's still there, the wall is new." Mew flew in front of Sephia. "Mew mew mew mew mew! (And I can blast the wall!)" "Yeah!" Sephia stood up and nuzzled the little pink Pokmon. Then she saw that Suicune stared at her. "Don't you think that's right, Suicune?" "Sephia?" "Yes?" "You understood Mew?" Sephias eyes went wide and she turned to Mew. "Yes....I understood her..." She started smiling. "I can understand her!", she yelled happy. "Mew!", shouted Mew when Sephia grabbed her and jumped up and down. Suicune laughed. "I've heard that trainers understand their Pokmon when they like them very much." "I'm not a trainer, but I don't care!", Sephia said happily. Suicune nodded. "So let's blast the damn wall!", she said. "Ok!" "Mew!" The three went back to the dead end. "Mew mew! (Stay back!)", Mew said and an energy ball appeared in her hands. She threw it at the wall. When the dust went away, the three could see a door a few meters in front of them. "This is getting crazier from minute to minute. It's a door, but not the elevator!" Sephia tried to unlock it and the door swung open. "Yeah!", she shouted. It was a big room with lots of barrels and bags it. They went in and Mew found a lightning switch. A lamp glowed weak when she hit switch, but it was enough to see the open barrel with the belts. Sephia took one of them." Wow, they're pretty light. We can take a belt for everyone." She put four of them in the bag and one around her hip. "Now I can bring the belts to them." "Mew mew mew mew mew. (I hope this are the right belts.)" "They have to be! If not, we'll get a problem!" "Uh...we already HAVE a problem", interrupted Suicune. She stared outside. Sephia and Mew turned around and gasped. In front of them were a gangway, only a few meters long. At the end was a door, again not the elevator. The other ways had disappeared. "Tell me that I'm just dreaming....this is impossible, it's just a nightmare, right?", Sephia asked in fear. The others didn't answer. Suicune stepped to the new door. "Stay behind me. I don't want that you disappear, too." Slowly, Mew and Sephia followed and Sephia opened the door. It was dark behind it, nearly black. "I can't see anything", whispered Suicune, but went in. Sephia followed slowly and Mew was already in the bag. "Uh...I smell danger...", Suicune mumbled. "Don't say things like that, Suicune. This maze scared the hell out of me, I can't stand anymore now." Suddenly, one of her hands touched the wall. "Suicune, I think I've found a button. Should I push it?" "Yeah..." Sephia closed her eyes and pushed. The light went on and both were blind for a moment. Suddenly, Sephia heard Suicunes voice. "RUN!", the Pokmon shouted and Sephia tried to look. There were several Electrodes and they looked like they would explode in a second! They buzzed and electric energy surrounded them. Sephia turned around and faced - a dead end. "Suicune!", she yelled in shock and Suicunes eyes went wide when she saw that they were trapped. "Suicune, DO SOMETHING!", Sephia shouted in pure agony of death. "I...I can't! They'll explode when I attack and I'm a water Pokmon, electric is my weakness!" "Mew! Paralyse them!!", Sephia screamed but before Mew could do something, the first Electrode exploded, creating a chain reaction. The last thing Sephia saw was Suicune who crashed in the wall. Then the world around her became blurry and disappeared finally when the Thundershock went through her body. To be continued... ****** Comments about it? Send them to Empress [email protected] |
