Sephia was running towards the mountains. When she had left the Pok�mon centre, it had started to rain. Her clothes were already soaked and she was trembling. But finally, she spotted the entrance to Mt. Moon. Sephia released her friends from their Pok�balls when she was inside. The six Pok�mon looked at the wet girl.
"Ok, this is Mt. Moon. The next gym is at the end of this cave, it leads through the mountain. We'll have to train now", she explained.
'You are completely wet!', Moltres said an went to her. She embraced her friend. Even if the flames from his wings were not too hot, they dried her clothes a little bit.
'Ah...Sephia?', Zapdos asked. She turned to him.
"Is something wrong? If you are feeling too weak to train, you don't have to"
'No, I'd like to train...but...I don't like caves. There are many rocks and it's dark and you can't see the sky...flying Pok�mon hate caves. And electric Pok�mon too. I'm both. May I stay in the Pok�ball?', he asked. Slowly, Sephia nodded.
"Ok, you are still not fully healed, so it's fine for now. But next time, you'll have to train with us. You must defeat your fears or you won't get stronger", Sephia answered. Zapdos nodded and she called him back into the Pok�ball. Then, they continued their way. Moltres was walking in front of everyone, to give them light.
"How should we train?", Suicune asked. Sephia was about to answer, but suddenly something was making noises not far away. Everyone was quiet when they walked towards it.
'There! There's a Pok�mon!', Mew squeaked suddenly and the others looked at the pink Pok�mon in front of them. Sephia took out her Pok�dex.
"Clefairy, a faerie Pok�mon. It is very shy and lives in the mountains. Some people say that it has psychic power", the Pok�dex said.
'Psychic power..?', Articuno asked. 'Which attacks?'
Sephia shrugged. "Hello Clefairy. I'm Sephia. Nice to meet you", she whispered with a low voice. The Clefairy just stood there. Then, Sephia made a step forward. The little Pok�mon ran away a few steps and started to wave its hands.
"It's afraid, we should leave it", Suicune recommended. The others nodded.
"Yes, and we should leave it NOW!", Mewtwo shouted. "That's the metronome attack!"
The hands of the Clefairy were glowing. 'Too late!', Zapdos shouted.
'Watch out! Everything can happen now!', Moltres said. Then, a large column of water crashed down on him.
"Hydro Pump!", shouted Mewtwo.
"A water attack! Moltres is a fire Pok�mon! Mewtwo, stop this!", Sephia screamed, afraid that Moltres was hurt. Mewtwo nodded and raised a hand. Suddenly, the Clefairy was surrounded by blue light. Then, it crashed into the rocks next to it. The Hydro pump disappeared and Moltres tottered a few steps before crashing down. Everyone ran to the bird.
"Moltres! Are you ok?", Sephia asked. The fire bird nodded and tried to stand up, but failed.
'Maybe I can help him!', Mew shouted and tried to use Recover on Moltres. Sephia looked for the Clefairy. It was running away. Quickly, she took out her Pok�dex and pushed a special button.
"Clefairy. Level 20. Attack 21. Defence 35. Special Attack 53. Special Defence 51", the Pok�dex said before the Pok�mon disappeared in the darkness.
"Sephia. Moltres is injured!", Suicune said and the girl looked back at her friend. The flames were very small and Moltres was whimpering.
'We have to take him to the Pok�mon centre!', Articuno said. Sephia nodded and called Moltres back into the Pok�ball.
"Ok. See it as the training. We have to find the exit as soon as possible. Let's run!"
They started running and Mewtwo tried to use his psychic energy to lighten up the way. After a few minutes, they met a hiker.
"Hey, let's fight!", he said as soon as he saw Sephia. But the girl just ran further.
"Sorry, we don't have time!", Suicune answered while she was running behind Sephia. When they had disappeared, the Hiker shook his head.
"I thought I had seen a Suicune. Maybe I need glasses...." He sighed and walked away.
"There! There's the exit!", Mewtwo shouted and pointed at a small light which was growing slowly. A few seconds later, they ran outside. Everyone closed the eyes for a moment until they were used to the light again, then Sephia called the Pok�mon back into the Pok�balls before running towards the city. Cerulean City wasn't far away, she reached the first houses after a few minutes. Luckily, the Pok�mon centre was a high building so she found it very fast.
"I...have....an injured......Pok�mon", Sephia shouted exhausted when the doors swung open. A few people were inside and looked at her.
"Please...help quickly...", Sephia coughed. A Chansey ran to her and she gave it the Pok�ball.
"Please...don't open it now, wait until you are alone with the nurse...."
The Chansey looked confused, but ran through a door with the Pok�ball. Sephia sat down at a chair. When she felt better again, she walked into the restaurant which was just behind another door. It was completely empty. A 'closed' sign stood at the table in front of her. She didn't care and sat down. When she was sure that no one would come in, she released her Pok�mon.
'What's with Moltres?', Mew asked.
"I gave him to the Chansey, they will help him", Sephia mumbled.
'Is something wrong?' Zapdos was confused. Suicune told him the story.
Sephia looked down. "We have a big problem. This Clefairy was at level 20. The special attack was 53. This is nothing compared with Moltres. I mean, if the weakness is that important for a fight, Moltres will have trouble. I'm nearly sure that Lugia is a water Pok�mon." The Pok�mon were silent. Everyone was thinking about a solution. Mew was getting bored and started to fly to the kitchen of the restaurant, searching for cookies. Suddenly, she screamed. The others jumped up and ran into the cooking room. Mew was crying.
"Mew! Are you ok?", Mewtwo asked.
'This is hot!', Mew sobbed and pointed at the furnace. 'But there are cookies in it. Make it cold!'
Sephia shook her head. "You can't take the cookies. they don't belong to us. And we can't just use the water gun on the furnace, it would............" Suddenly, she gasped.
"Mew! You are brilliant! A genius!" Everyone looked at her, confused. She ran back to the restaurant room and lightened a candle which stood on the table. After a minute, she blew it out.
"Suicune. Now let some water drops touch the hot wax."
Suicune did as she was told and steam was appearing.
"Got it?", Sephia asked. The Pok�mon shook their heads. "See, what is the water doing?" The Pok�mon though about it.
'It is evaporating', Articuno said.
"Yes, Arti. But it wouldn't do it if the wax would be just slightly warm. That's the solution! If Moltres can manage it to make his flames that big and hot, the water will evaporate before it touches him!"
The others gasped. "Yes! You are right!", Suicune shouted. "You are brilliant! We have to tell Moltres!"
'I don't understand it.' Mew sighed.
"You don't have to. Here, you can have a cookie." Sephia got one out of her bag and Mew forgot about her hurting hand, happy to have a cookie now. Mewtwo petted his little friend. In this minute, Nurse Joy came in.
"Miss, is this your Mol-" She stopped when she saw the Pok�mon.
"What's with Moltres?", Sephia asked. "Is he ok?"
The nurse tried to look at Sephia and not at the legendary Pok�mon. "um, yeah...he's fine. He'll still be weak for a few days, maybe he shouldn't fight right now. But he can leave the Pok�mon centre now." She gave the Pok�ball to Sephia.
'Let him out!', shouted Articuno and the others nodded. Sephia opened the Pok�ball and Moltres came out. His flames were still not as high as usual, but he looked more healthy. The others ran to him. Mew nuzzled her friend and Moltres smiled.
'I'm fine, really. This Clefairy caught me by surprise. This won't happen again. Now let's visit the gym, I wanna fight!', he said happily.
"No, Moltres, Joy said that you shouldn't fight for a few days", Sephia answered.
'But I want! It's my turn now!' Moltres turned to the nurse. 'Are you sure that I can't fight? I really want to!'
Joy was confused until Sephia translated. Then, she nodded. "It would be better. However, if you really want to fight, you can. But don't overdo it."
Moltres cooed happily and Sephia nodded. "Ok. Then, let's go to the gym now."
The Pok�mon returned into the Pok�balls and she left the Pok�mon centre, looking for the gym. It was not hard to find it, but she had a strange feeling when she opened the door. Moltres would have a hard time to battle water Pok�mon. He was too weak to dodge the water yet, so he would have to evade. This was going to be a hard battle.
