| Title: Of Past and Present Author: Kitsune Spirit Warnings: none really, a bit of blood Part 3 ~on the way to Tokyo~ The trip back to Tokyo was interesting to say the least. Having to keep an eye on his men all the time rather than the priest was making it hard to keep his temper in check. It wasnt just he who had noticed the priests beauty, and he had to keep an eye on a few of his men who thought theyd try to have their way with him. Zesian couldnt believe that someone could do that to another person, least of all an unconscious one. His pondering brought him back to Hawiga. He knew he had to get out of the job, or one-day he would find those hands doing a lot more than giving those brief straying touches. Throughout the trip, he checked on the young priest, who stayed unconscious. He appeared to be in his early twenties, hair having coming partly out of the braid and was now flowing around his shoulders sticking wetly to his face with blood, the amber swirls darkened with crimson. Although the blood had stopped, swelling had started. He had tried to set the man's arm but not having the equipment to do so he couldnt. The pain of the fracture obviously kept the man from lapsing back to a conscious state. Wiping the blood from the man's face he sighed to himself, bringing the man back would have dual consequences for him. He doubted hed be severely punished for it, but he knew his wage would be lessened for the unnecessary inconvenience of taking care of the priest. Knowing Hawiga, he would kill the man within the blink of an eye, and, not wanting the death on his shoulders, he knew he would definitely have to leave Hawigas service to save him. Although relieved he was worried; he wondered what a life without his voice would be like. Would Hawiga even let him live after this grave disrespect of the contract? He had no idea. Checking the man once more, he closed his eyes, not waking till they arrived at their destination. |
