G Part 24 ~Pasts Revealed~ As they joined the crowd in the middle of the town, they looked around. Lights had been set everywhere, the town covered with tacky but comical Halloween nightmares. Lit pumpkins made the streets glow as music emanated from the town center where the main party was being held. "This is totally cool," Ke grinned, having forgotten about his costume and just enjoying the night. He and Zechs hadn't seen anything like this except on TV, where they lived in England it wasn't such a big thing. Zechs nodded looking around, eyes lighting up like a small child's at Christmas. "CANDY APPLES!" he yelled dragging Kalen off in the direction of his nose, smelling the sweet apples out. Kara giggled smiling, she was having so much fun, and had guys drooling over her. She giggled wickedly when she saw Blaine and Magdalene on their own. "Quick guys lets go get some silly string, cover them in it...oh and toilet paper," giggling, she and Ennvie ran off to find their equipment plotting evil things to do to them. Standing around, Lexi pulled Ke along the stalls; there were lots of things to buy and eat and lots of games to play. "Oh, Ke," she squealed happily when he won her a huge cat at the shooting gallery. "It's sooooooo cute," she hugged him as they went to get drinks before heading onto the party, knowing they would meet up with the others later. Meanwhile, Kisei couldn't stop himself and had dragged Lav behind some bushes; contented moans and purrs could be heard beneath the loud music, giggling as they kissed, hiding from others. "Kisei, if we're caught, I'll.... I'll...I'll do something and you won't like it," he giggled again as Kisei licked him. "Ok... how bout we go find somewhere more comfy," and so dragged him off to the party to find a dark corner somewhere. After buying candy apples and trying to not get it in their hair Kalen and Zechs wandered through the stalls. Neither had really experienced Halloween like this before. Holding hands, they both still felt a little strange about their appearances. They had no idea what it meant or what significance, if any, that it had. Walking along they passed one booth; it was decorated in golds and reds, "Gypsy Rosilinia" painted delicately on a board, which had written 'palm reading', 'crystal balls', 'spiritual guidance', and 'the key to your future'. Kalen passed it but was dragged back by Zechs. "Come on Kal, it might be fun." Zechs grinned at him pulling him back to the booth. "You know it's only a sham, Zechs," Kalen sighed, allowing himself to be lead. He didn't believe in this stuff, which was odd, seeing in most people's eyes he was a myth himself. Pulling back the curtain Zechs entered slowly, looking around. Stepping in he jumped when a voice greeted him. "Welcome, come sit." Stepping in he sat waiting for Kalen. "Will you not join us Kalen?" the woman said her hands unwrapping a set of cards at the side of her. "How did you know my name?" Kalen asked entering. "I see all my furred friend, now sit". Kalen looked at her, blushing a little as he sat down. "What is it you wish to know?" the woman asked. "How much is it first?" Kalen growled softly, not wanting to be taken for an idiot. "You are my first customers, so you may have a free try...you both seem very interesting." In front of her sat a large ornate crystal ball, reflecting the fairy lights that lit the booth. "Free? Well ok then, but we don't really want to know anything Zechs just wanted to be nosey." Zechs blushed, poking him and smiling at the lady. "Ignore him, he gets grumpy sometimes" The women smiled. "It is no problem...but I wish to know, how long have you been together for?" Zechs blushed, answering before Kalen could retreat. "Almost two years." Kalen growled. "You should know that if you know all," he wasn't having it. "But I do know my friend. It's just your auras show love centuries old, it is amazing to see such a thing in young ones such as yourself, almost as if you belong together and always have." The woman smiled, gazing into the crystal ball. "There is something about you two, I can feel a strong bond between you, love is a very powerful thing it can stay strong even after death". Zechs gasped a little looking at her. "What do you mean?" Kalen looked at her in confusion. "What is it? What do you know? "You don't know?" she smiled gently. "You have been together before, many centuries ago. When I felt you go past I felt the twin spirits of your auras mixing this is not the first time you have been together." Kalen looked a little mad. "She doesn't know what she's talking about, I've never been with anyone before." He stood up to leave taking Zechs' hand. "I don't believe this rubbish." He moved to leave, stopping as her words drifted to his ears. "Zesian and Kala-nesh did exist, my friends; you are they and they are you. You did find each other again, promises bound with love are always kept." Kalen turned around to face the woman but noticed she was gone. A cool chilled air passed, making them shudder, sending chills down their spines. "What the?" Leaving the booth, they bumped into the opposite stall runner. "Who owns this booth?" Zechs asked, slightly freaked out from what he was told. "No-one Sir. The lady died last year," the stall owner turned going back to his business. "Kalen?" Zechs looked at him confused. "Did we just meet a ghost?" he asked, turning to face the booth but gasped in surprise. "Kalen, it's gone, what's going on?" "I don't know Zechs but this is too weird, even for me". They stared at the empty space where the booth had been, jumping when they heard a whispered voice fading in the street music. "Enjoy your lives, stay happy and be free." Zechs whimpered a little, scared out of his wits. "Okay, Kalen let's go, I've no idea what just happened, but I don't wanna be hear any longer." Kalen nodded his agreement, mind still processing the information. Suddenly, he stopped in the streets, yanking Zechs back, who hadn't realized he'd stopped. "Kalen?" Kalen looked at him, bringing a hand to cup his cheek. "Zechs, they were us, we were THEM!" Zechs looked at him. "I...we... They were us." Suddenly, it dawned on them. "We were brought together even after death." Kalen nodded hugging him. "Oh god... I'll never let anyone hurt you I promise." They hugged tightly before a tap startled them. "Hey, love birds, you're missing a great party." "Oh hey Kara...sorry we were..." a yell interrupted them. "AIIIEEEEEEEEEEE, look at my hair, it's ruined!" Magdalene came rushing down the stairs, string and hair dye coating her hair sticking it together, as a well-papered Blaine ran after her. "Magggggggiiiiieeeeeeeee!" he screeched, chasing her through the streets as everyone laughed. Zechs burst out laughing, letting the tension from their previous encounter go. "Something to do with you ne?" Kara looked on innocently. "What makes you say that Zechs" she giggled as her partner in crime joined her, hiding hair spray behind her back, whistling. "Hey guys," she giggled looking at them. "You ok?" She shrugged then took hold of their arms. "Now you've gotta come see what Ke is doing," Kara giggled as they joined the party. Kalen and Zechs still thinking about what they had found out, and still shocked from the ghostly visit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walking up the steps to enter the party, they didn't notice the soft blue-misted haze behind them swirling together, following, and then dissipating as they entered. "Soon," came a softly spoken whisper as the mist disappeared. |
