He felt the body next to him shift and turned his head to look at his lover. �Ohayo,� Kalen whispered as he looked up at Zechs from his leaning position on the bed. �Heya,� Zechs smiled as he was welcomed into the arms, covers drawn back over them. Kalen yawned. �That�s the last four nights you�ve done this, koi,� he said as pulled Zechs tighter into his embrace. �I know Kal, gomen.� He turned on his front to lay sprawled across Kalen�s chest, an arm wrapping around him as he snuggled down. �It�s ok, Zechs, not like I haven�t kept you up before with my nightmares.� Zechs looked up, �That wasn�t your fault, Kal, I would have had nightmares too.� Closing their eyes, they drifted back to sleep until the alarm woke them up. �URG, shut up� Zechs yelled as he batted at the alarm clock, knocking it off of the table with a thud. Kalen grinned as Zechs sat up in bed rubbing at his eyes to get rid of any sleep. �You look adorable, Zechsie.� Kalen grinned, earning him a pout and a thrown pillow. �I do not,� he sulked. �Do so,� Kalen smirked, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend from behind, snuggling his face into a shoulder, inhaling his scent. �I hate you� Zechs said, trying to stand up. �Do not.� Kalen smirked again, using his strength to stop Zechs from moving and pulled him tighter, rubbing his cheek against Zechs�s bare back. �Ai shiteru, Zechs,� he whispered before letting go. Zechs stretched and turned around. �Ai shiteru, Kalen,� he whispered, leaning in for a kiss, before he could move back he was grasped. �Eep,� he squeaked as he was pulled over and pushed onto his back. As he tried to get up, he was pushed down again as Kalen leant down and snuggled him. Zechs groaned, trying to push him up. �We�ve got things to do, Kalen; our friends are coming here in a few hours.� Zechs watched as Kalen pouted but got off of him. �Go use the shower before I ravish you, then� he grinned, leering. Zechs was up and out of there before Kalen had finished. As he waited for his love to finish Kalen scratched his ears, yawning again. Since the end of his dreams the previous week, he�d been sleeping like a baby only to have Zechs up every night. /When I get the time, I�ll ask him what they�re about./ Grinning, he didn�t wait and joined Zechs in the shower to a shocked, though happy, squeal. They emerged later, dressed and ready to meet their friends, only getting their boots on as the doorbell rang. �Coming!� Zechs yelled, hopping to the door with one boot on. He pulled it open, grinning at his friends as he let them in. �Hey, Zechs.� Lexi grinned as she dragged Zechs� brother in through the door. �Hey, Lexi, hey, bro,� he said, smirking. His brother was whipped; he hid his snickers as he put his other boot on and said his hellos to the others. Kalen came out of the bathroom as the others sat down. Today, they had all met up to discuss Halloween; it was fast approaching, and they had a carnival to go to. �So, what�s everyone going as?� Ennvie asked, trying to stop herself from drooling over Kalen whilst giggling at Kara. �Here Kara, wipe your drool,� she moved out of the way as a pillow came flying at her. Since she�d met them both she and Kara had, had huge crushes on the guys, not even caring they were gay. They could still look couldn�t they? Lexi was the first to answer, tugging on Ke�s hand excitedly. �Well, me and Ke are going as little nekos.� Ke groaned. Ever since Lexi had met Kalen, she had grown a vast obsession for nekos, even if Kalen was a fox not a cat. Kalen was a kitsune; he was over a hundred and had never had so many human friends. Until Zechs had entered his life, he had feared them. Along with his brother Kisei when they were younger, they had watched their parents being slaughtered, their lives ruined and for twenty years they had been on the end of cruel experiments to see what it would take to break the not so mythical kitsune. Both now were happy now, they had mates, life partners, and humans at that. They were not so scared of humans and this small group of friends had accepted them as they were in all forms. �Lexi, I�m not being a neko.� He watched his brother smirk at him and glared. �Shut up Zechs, you�re not helping.� Lexi looked at him, pouting. �Pleeeeeeeeeeease� I think you�d look sooooooooo cute with little cat ears, and a tail� and not much else�. She waggled her eyebrows, and his will broke. �Nekos, it is,� he said sighing; he really was �whipped� as his brother called it. Kara and Ennvie shrugged. �We�re not sure yet, maybe sex bombs therefore we wont have to change.� Zechs giggled, and Kalen grinned. �Quite right, girls,� he said, holding off his laughter. Zechs got up to grab food and drinks for everyone; he hadn�t had breakfast and thanks to Kalen�s little escapade in the shower, he was starving. �What about you, brother?� Kalen asked, turning to Kisei. His brother had come to visit him bringing his lover with him. When Kisei had first showed up, everyone was quite worried; after the experiments Kisei had snapped, he had hated them with a vengeance, but showing up with a human mate had surprised everyone. Kalen was happy that his brother had found someone; he had a lot to thank Laveraux for. �Well, I�m gonna cast my mojo on Lav,� Kisei said grinning and hugging his partner closer. �We�re going as a pair of youko�s.� Lav laughed. �We�re still arguing about my ears and tail, do you think amber ears are gonna go with silver and blue hair? He won�t let me be black, so I said silver; he keeps changing his mind.� Kisei laughed. �Well, silvers are rare.� Both Kalen and Kisei had pained looks cross their face; their father had been a rare silver himself. Kisei took after his looks whilst Kalen had his mother�s, a gentle auburn kitsune. Lav stroked Kisei's ears as he smiled gently. �I�ll be whatever color you want, Kis.� he said, smiling and kissing him. They looked up as they heard the frequent sounds of �awwwwwwww� and gagging from Kalen. �Get a room, guys,� he giggled, glad to see his brother happy. �Which one of yours is going free?� he laughed, watching Zechs blush. �You know Zechs, you and Kalen must be the randiest guys we know, and you still blush like a virgin�. Kara laughed as Zechs turned a shade redder. �I assure you, he�s definitely not one of those.� Kalen grinned. Everyone laughed as Zechs buried his head in his hands. �Stop torturing me, you evil demons,� he said, pouting as everyone giggled. �Ok, ok�� Ke said, still laughing. �So what about you two?� �It�s a surprise,� they both said in union. �Hey aren�t you even gonna tell me what you�re going as?� Kalen asked. �Nope, surprise.� He kissed his pouting lover. �Fine, I wont tell you mine, then,� he said, sulking. Everyone laughed again �You are such a baby, brother� Kisei smirked, pulling his lover up. �Sorry to cut it short, but we, er�have somewhere to be.� Lav had barely said bye before he was pushed out of the room. �Mating season come early, ne?� Kara giggled, Zechs turning pale at the thought. �Not soon enough,� Kalen grinned. �Ok, ok, knock it off. A brother shouldn�t see this kind of stuff.� Ke got up pulling Lexi up with him. �We�ve gotta go �neko� shopping,� he groaned out. �Don�t sound too pleased,� Lexi said, poking him, �Now get ya cute butt in gear and come on.� He was led out to a chorus of �byes� and �see you laters�. Kalen laughed as he drained his soda. �How about we all go shopping for costumes. I�ve got the main part of mine just need some bits and pieces, ya know�. Zechs nodded in agreement pulling Kara closer, who almost fainted at being so close to him. �Do you know where to get hair sticks from?� he whispered. �Erm�I think so, I�ll show you, is it for your costume?� At Zechs� nod, she continued. �I�ll get Ennvie to keep Kalen occupied for ya.� �Thanks, doll.� Zechs grinned, running to his room to grab money. �Ok, and we�re off,� Ennvie yelled out, grabbing Kalen�s arm. /It�s gonna be a long day,/ Kalen thought as he and Zechs were dragged out of the door by two drooling females. |
