"[In the day]s of my reign [was there] any sin that I committed against the land of my brother? [Arik-d]en-ili was still a friend of my brother. [Adad-nirari and Shalmane]ser repeatedly plundered your country: [in their days] indeed they kept on plundering your country. [After that however] nobody sinned against your country. Nobody removed even a (piece of} straw or a chip of wood from the march of your country. [My brother] has done me [wrong?]: my father was your enemy; but I am a friend of my brother: [why] did you change your heart? Why have you treated (our) relationship in such a way?"

Discussed in Weidner, AfO 12 1959 #36,p 40, who attributes to time of Tudhaliya 4-TN1, based on Assyrianisms. Hagenbuchner notes that letter involves two king and the terms of address indicate that the kings are equals.
