Introducing to you Mr. and Mrs. Bill...the story goes like this. They first met at Bankstown in 1999, through a friend of Viv's. And then they went their separate ways, but through friends they got to know each other a little better. They started going out, then Viv turned 18. She still remembers the day....
Viv: My parents said it would be nice if we got engaged...
Bill: So do you wanna?
And so they were engaged, officially 3 days after she was 18. Viv's parents just asked her if her and Bill could be engaged just because she was to go to Egypt on a family trip. Apparently (straight out of Viv's mouth i tell ya!) if you go to Egypt as a single female you'll come back as a married mother. I chatted to Viv on Chatalyst in 1999, went to TAFE with her in 2000, I met Bill at the end of 2000 (new years day) and then things have only gotten better. Viv was a bit shaky with her jobs but she's in an office in the city now! Bill still does security, although he finds it hard to come to meet-ups from time to time because of the hours that he works.
These pictures on the left were taken from the meet-up that we had at The Penrith Festival 2001. Just out of respect, I can't make those pictures directly available to everyone. Actually I've never told them this but at first I had my doubts about them getting engaged so young. They have their lives ahead of them, but they understand this. And they proved me wrong. They've proved everyone else wrong, and although there is no definite date for a wedding, I can assure you if Bill's party was anything to go by, it will be a good trashing indeed. |
