Another girl from the infamous 96.1 chat was Meredith. Yes I did start to chat to her on MSN, and yes began the phone calls and letters! Then I was introduced to her boyfriend Andy. Andy is a cool bloke, when I met him on the Lock Up Yer Daughters Tour, there were many awards for him in honour of his outstanding service to the Army Cadets. He is also an Asparagus (?) picker at Jugiong (???) or something of the like, whatever it was, he was picking some fruit in the country during the school holidays...
Andy came up to Sydney for the John Bones World Series in August 2000. He was accompanied by a mate, Jason and the two came over to Mt Druitt to say hello as I handed over all of my HSC Trash for Meredith to look at. :o) It wwas just a pile of rubbish for me! But yes, it would be a while before we would meet again...
Meredith is now working, and loves her horses. She rides them every day to keep fit. Of course, I lost touch with her after 2003 and now, but it looks like she's gone onto better things.
She looks so different from the photo above, her skin is a touch tanned and her hair is straight! The first time I met Meredith was on the LUYD tour. It was so funny walking around Wagga Station a) Off My Chops and b) Disorientated but I had a ball of a time there-swimming in the Murrumbidgee, winning @ Bingo and then watching Shrek for once. Being in Wagga showed that you didnt't have to be be in a big city to enjoy yourself..just think of the fun I had while I was in Wagga...
The last time i actually met either of the pair was during the dramatic "National Pornographic" road trip to Canberra, in 2003. That was when Meredith gave her never-to-be-forgotten quote of "If we're gonna burn, we're gonna burn while partying!".....these two no longer go out with each other anymore, but they were fun times shared.
