| Anzac Day Anarchy 2005 By the time I had reached Shelly Beach, a lot of people had left. Nonetheless the weather was perfect for another day down at our favourite beach. Grant and Danielle were among the first on the scene, as well as Robbie who was the very first to show up. Grant and Danielle also had to leave early, since Danielle's waters had broken! She soon went into labour and Grant had to rush her off to Liverpool Hospital. Meanwhile, Ally + Lesley were there soon after joining Corin + Chrissy (sp?) as well as Zihni and Lisa. This was the core group for a while as Robbie had to leave soon after. No word on whether Robbie would be back later, but he had a few important things to take care of. Craig was a worthy substitute for Robbie and proceeded to get pretty sloshed on his Reschs (gotta love a NSW beer). I kept on getting constant updates from Corin & friends as I made my way down to Shelly Beach, especially with the news that the Rixy Pixy (Lauren) was down at the park for a special guest appearance! Holy Moley!! It was only a short one because soon enough she was off. When I arrived, the hut was firmly ours but there was no recollection of what time it was secured (everyone was pretty tipsy, or at the very least anyway). Chrissy & Corin had to leave and Craig virtually left straight after them so it was just Zihni, Lisa and I, and our map of Australia. It was handy because we were speaking to a friend of Craig's over the phone and she was from Bordertown, SA...and Zihni kept on pointing to Ayres Rock saying, "hey, is it over there?!!"... The hours passed, the waves crashed, the moon was another special guest, pouring proceeds of the sun right over the ocean, and a few planes gatecrashed the party while they were coming into land. A great day's weather and a perfect night. All that was needed was a drunken nude run. I don't exactly recall how the topic was brought up (about the Coco's Nude Initiaton) but...the topic was firmly on the table. Zihni wasn't initiated properly last year and Lisa wanted to join the Coco's crew...so as the only intiator there, I not only was on hand to make sure that it went properly, but even showed them how it was done...and it was. At the bottom is the link verifying the photos...and the call has gone up for Robbie to verify his own status, since he wasn't on hand for the initiation himself!!! Nonetheless, a good day and next year will be a special one..with a 5th birthday and a 1st birthday to celebrate! |
