| Anzac Day Anarchy 2004 Tradition is what Anzac Day is all about and Anzac Day is a day for ANARCHY! This was the third time that we met at our favourite Shelly Beach on Anzac Day but also the 5th time we'd been here for a major gathering! I made sure that the weather predictions stayed true to their word but brought a poncho just in case the weather would spoil the day. But nothing would spoil the spirit that we've had these past three years when we all get together down at this special beach! We had some special guests here today: Grant and Danielle, and Corin and Lisa, who looked like they weren't coming at all, to "damn straight we will be there!" And Robbie: well, how could you not spot him...his choice of shirt always makes him stand out! It was a total stand out effort for a totally pleasant day and more and more people came on down: Corin brought down her friends Jodie and Samantha (absolute rockers!) as well as Colleen and Zihni coming down later to keep things happening. By sunset the opposition started thining out and the hut was ours at around 6pm. Bring on the snags. The night possums also came out too and as darkness coated the park, the possums came out of the trees and snuck in and out of the BBQ area. Once we had something to eat, it was time for the annual late night swim! But only Colleen was brave enough to get in and I only got knee deep in it. At the same time, Zihni was getting ready to be 'initiated' as the latest Coco's member! Unfortunately, someone was testing out their car headlights at the same time so poor Zihni had to pull his shorts up. Corin never fails to disappoint in bringing down some babe talent and this year was no different! But the day had to end and once again it was a top quality day of drinking and catching up with great bunch of blokes and babes. |
