| ANZAC DAY ANARCHY 2003 featuring CORIN AND LISA-our two finest exports! |
| When the word got out that Corin was going to have her 18th birthday overseas, Ally & Robbie instigated a plan to make sure that she would have an early bday party down under! The predictions of storms and showers looked to be for THE WRONG CITY as we arrived at Shelly Beach-IT WAS BLOODY MARVELLOUS!!! We knew that we were right in bringing our cossies down, and perhaps we would need them for our traditional late night swim later on! Ally + Lesley, along with (Slave) Dave were on the scene first, followed by Robbie and myself. Personally, I wouldn't have minded staying in bed, but who could turn down an opportunity for such perve factor! I couldn't drink (as I was on antibiotics) but was that going to stop Robbie? HELL NO! He proceeded to sink his mudslides as the clouds slowly filled the blue skyline. The meterologists were going to be right.... We were soon joined by Colleen as we made a move for OUR HUT! There were other people occupying it and the barbeque, but the arrival of Corin and friends made sure that it was soon our hut!!!!!!!!! The crowd factor was well down from last year, and the people that were here this year disappeared as the park became ours, covered by darker clouds. We said it-It was going to be a day that we were going to be catching up with other people-and it was great!!!! Light soon faded and the snags were cooking, followed by an apperance by Craig and Zihni and then-yep-A SWIM!!!!! Yeah mate!!!! And seeing Corin in her new $150 bikin by SeaFolly-phoar!!! NIIIIICE!!!!! The rain started coming down thick and fast-some were a bit sad that it wasn't better weather, but you had to admit that everyone stuck around-true testament to Corin and Lisa!!!! When the rain cleared, we heralled the arrival of Miss Lisa and friends, followed soon by her mother! OMG!!!! i think she is well and truly a part of the gang now!!!!!! As you know, every good day has to have its end-Father Robbie started off the hymns with "Hey Bobba Reena" as we trudged off to Cronulla! This was followed by such other anthems as "Hey Baby", "Row Row Row Your Boat" and "War"!!! We didn't need any stereos-we had ourselves, and we had a good time. There may have been a very big change from the cast of last year's Anzac Day and this year's, but the vibe was still there. A big thanks to Robbie and Ally for putting it all together for the girls!!!!! And thanks to everyone for showing up! Made it a totally top day, you al proved how mentally unstable you lot were when you stayed with us in the heavy rain!!! We'll see you all again next year!!!! |
