| The year starts VERY HOT - I was sweating walking up Darling St from the foreshores of Balmain, on my way to catch a bus into the city to catch up with the rest of the crew in the city!� I met up with my Burger King buddies as we partied on in town, before coming back into town to catch some Field Day goodness.� It was only at night that my sisters and I hit the dancefloor as it was about 43 degrees out there.� But once we hit the dancefloor we were treated to some gold sets from Derrick Carter and Bob Sinclar. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There were a lot of trashy weekends in January, none moreso when Libby L was here, followed by Brooke and Danni!� It was also around the time the Big Day Out was on - I had Libby L + Brooke on Wed night, Big Day Out on Thurs, Brooke on Fri Night, Angie on Sat Night, who knows what i did on Sunday, worked on Monday and then had Brooke for Tues Trivia!!!!� I won't say how much I spent that weekend - it was in excess of $1000, but when people found out, I got a stern talking to!!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The feelers went out for a paintball meetup in June?� Yes, after much talk and no action, Grant had decided to put on a paintball day!� About time I say!� I gave up because no one would ever show up and so I left it to other people to put it together, and now Grant was stepping up to the plate!� Good work! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The 'stern talking to' I got last month was from a girl who sat next to me and was quite outraged that I spent that much money boozing it up!� With much insistence, I was told I had to organise an ING savings account by close of business that day or else there would be harsh consequences!� It would be a hard sacrifice, but I had to put money away if I was serious about going away.� But if ever had to go out, it was to see James De La Cruz work his turntable magic at "Protein" - all for $5!!!� best $5 i spent ever!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Was never seen with any of his mates and he'd go up to us [and other girls] saying his friends were down in the [v.packed] beer garden and he'd lost them down there, blah blah blah. | We also got word that we would be greeted by five extra special visitors in June - from Queensland!!� I couldn't believe the news when I heard it and YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE when the Ippy girls all got here!� But that was about 4 months away... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The first weekend was busy with more party action - Koolism had just released another album and I got to see them with a workmate down at The Gaelic Club - such a top night, getting to see them as well as Katalyst, Fdel and some other random WA band for the cheap sum of $20!� I can't believe i was wasting so much money at stupid pubs!� Another great night out was Kanye West's concert - sure I spent $80 for the ticket but IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD that I was depressed for a whole week after it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My mum had gone down south to Melbourne for the Comm Games so it was my dad and myself at home for a while.� Most nights i'd be there but there were some nights/weekends when I wouldn't be there at all!� There was a weekend when I went up past Wyong to the Wallarah Bay Rec Club to check it out, as challenged by a workmate!� (It's a centre of boganesse, up north), followed by a good drinking session at Matt G's 80s party.� Another of those nights was Party Angie's 21st which was a sordid affair that only ended around 8am the next morning.� | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I also got myself some weekend work to keep me occupied on those non-boozy weekends.� 5 hours at double time rates isn't too bad when you're watching midday movies and surfing the net anyway!� I'd duck down to either The Body Expo or The Travel Expo where I learnt a lot more about travelling!� I rubbed my hands with glee and ALMOST booked a return ticket to the USA on the spot - but I had to use my head, walk away and save my pennies for a rainy day. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| After the joke of myself failing a motorcycle licence, I thought I'd get everyone back by announcing that I had passed the test for my Ps!� Of course, it was a sham and I recieved a lot of "Fuck You" replies via SMS.� Pure gold!� No idea what's in store next week but I think everyone will be cynical next April 1 when they get an sms from me! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There was no fooling around on the night of April 1 as The Trivia All stars re-united for an event at Robbie's church.� Without a real name, we decided on "Sandy's Bogans" and came a close second.� Not bad considering there's only a max of 6 per team and some of the questions were a little tricky including the round on Bible *shame Johnny, shame*. But it was good to see the Regent Trivia team, since the Regent no longer has trivia...bastards! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The following weekend, Robbie wanted to see if I was available but unfortunately I had a 21st to go to - Julieanne's.� It wasn't a bad night to be honest - I was actually surprised at how good it was!� I saved the very worst for when I got home (v. trashed of course) and ringing up Emmy, who was also beyond drunk, and having a random drunken 3am chat. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| If there was another time I was out, beyond drunk, it had to be in my most favoured city of Australia....Brisbane.� I was up for the weekend as a guest of honour for Libby L's 21st, but I had to pay my Ippy girls a visit first.� That friday night was full of fun and we even went up to the hallowed summit of Mt Coot-tha for some night time pics!� The next day was a hoot (for Jesska) as she had a field day torturing me in my v. hungover state.� Rumours are that I passed out at 6pm that night, I totally deny this rumour!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| It was really awesome for Jess to see me off at Sunshine Coast airport with a, "see you tomorrow"...she'd be down for Anzac Day Anarchy and no doubt she would be BACK IN BLACK!!� The weather may have been cold and rainy but at least the water was warm!� Warm enough for a Coco's initiation - Jess!!!!!� She passed the test with flying colours! | I also just decided to rock up to Club 77, a nightclub where my sister and her friend Kim would go weekly.� They would dress up like cats, or wear wigs, or anything.� They would dance all night to cool electro music and the place would be full of cool people.� Or I would just go there, trashed, armed with nothing but permanent markers.� I had people's phone numbers all over my arms as well as writing mine all over other peoples arms and I think Paula and Kim did the same all over the club's walls.� I backed up pretty solidly when I outstayed EVERYONE from Phil (Lee Lee's little brother) and his mates at PJ Gallaghers for Phil's 21st.� They were calling me a softcock for drinking Beez Neez, well I don't think their cocks were soft at all when they all went back to Phil's place to wrestle!� And I don't think I should mention the 'wrestling' that Lee Lee was probably partaking in with her friend Johnno!!!!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The trip to the united states had reached a milestone with my 7 weeks of leave being 'verbally approved'!� All I needed to do was let my boss know the dates that I wanted to be gone for and then everything would be super sweet!� | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| While sorting out my own overseas travels, I was swamped with interstate visitors.� The first was Geoff from the Kimberlys.� He took me out to see an awesome singer by the name of Steve Clisby (you can check him out on YouTube).� The next weekend would definitely have to qualify as the best.weekend.ever!� On the Friday night, I lost my phone at The Pavilion Hotel. �It was important that I have it because I had to see the Ippy girls that night, but not before seeing a few other people first.� | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I finally got to meet Emmy* at her 21st - and of course I wore my MxPx shirt, she loves that!� I was a bit disappointed i couldn't stay any longer because I had to head into town to meet up with some old workmates at Troy's 21st - definitely the party of the year, hands down!� A large video screen on the stage, guys I haven't seen in a while and being told to "get fuckin back on it"; after swearing not to drink after losing my phone - awesomeness.� Later on, I left and headed into town to meet up with the Ippy girls - all 5 of them plus a bonus friend!� Robbie was nowhere to be seen!� | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| My older brother turned 30 and we went to Parramatta to have dinner for him.� Little sister Paula decides to show off her new camera, a Canon 350D (ooh, shiny!).� While posing for a pic, she reveals a tongue piercing!� She bet me $20 that my Mum wouldn't find out about it and EVEN TO THIS DAY my mum doesn't know!!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Big Sister Toni + her boyfriend Gary were due to fly out to England for a 7 week trip!� It was a long time coming for the both of them and Toni had something coming her way in Paris, if she didn't watch out (and if we all kept our mouths shut)!� We had a swell time partying down at the Agincourt Hotel, drinking well over $2000 worth of booze to ensure that we got free room hire!� I don't think there was a sober person there!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The flights over to the USA as well as the internal flights had been booked, a few buses and trains had also been organised.....all that was left to put together was a going away party!!!� I decided to call it Brokebank Mountain, since I would put on a bar tab that would surely send me broke!!!� I went on the campaign trail to sign people up and get them to come down... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One of those nights was our after-work karaoke sessions at the Tingha Club, Parramatta.� The first time we came here we got booted, it must have been my awful rendition of Wet Wet Wet's "Love is All Around Me"; this time it was Backstreet Boys' "As Long As You Love Me"- whenever we would go and request more songs, the guy would barr us!� Not fair!!!� Anyone that is sober and at a karaoke night is surely in the wrong place!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Other messy days included the Oran Park V8s and the McKenna Bourbon launch in the city (workplace function) that everyone got VERY messy at!� I was elsewhere with Grant, Danielle, Ashy, Sarah, my friend Ben @ Telstra Stadium (Bulldogs VS Broncos, where they won 30-0) and by the time I got into town to party on, they were still showing the game on TV.� But we ended up at the Laundry soon after, where the catch phrase/sms was born..."Do you need to clean your clothes?� Coz I'm at the Laundry!!" | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A few days later I flew out (yes!) for my American + Canadian Booty holiday!� I didn't sleep very well on the plane over thanks to a fidgety lady who decided it was in her best interests to fidget every 30 seconds, but nothing could contain my excitement when the plane landed in San Francisco.� I was pretty tense going through US immigration but there's a first time for everything!� Once I was through, it was straight up to Portland, OR to meet up with Stephanie (penpal for well over 6 yrs)!� After Portland, it was off to Seattle, followed by LA, Nashville, St Louis, Kansas City (meeting up with Ginny), Las Vegas for my 25th Birthday (where I eventually hooked up with Brooke...NO WE DIDNT HOOK UP IN THAT WAY YOU PERVERT!� I met up with Brooke who was doing a Contiki tour from east to west), Fort Lauderdale (to see Vanessa), and then Washington, D.C. (it was actually just outside of the D.C., in Maryland).� I stayed with Stephanie's Aunt and Uncle there because I did something far worse than get arrested in the USA - I lost my credit card on the third day of my trip!� Nonetheless, Stephanie's parents convinced me it was better to get back on the road and not worry about it too much because it would fix itself up sooner or later...it did the day my replacement credit card arrived from Australia via Portland!� This one was a keeper!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| There was one more state I had to visit and one more person to see as well before making the big trip over the US/Canada border and that was Dani in Vermont!� For a long time we both had conversations about her coming here (and we all know about my false promises overseas), so it was about time that I did this!!!� Vermont was full of great and not so great things (oh no, that was New York State, stupid Great Escape theme park!) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I fell in love with Toronto, it was my favouite city in Canada and of the whole trip (Portland was my favourite USA city).� I stayed there before going to Kryssie's place for Canadian Thanksgiving, rolling through Toronto on my way over to Sarnia on Tue 10 where I was supposed to stay there until Sat 14.� Toronto had seduced me by then and I left Sarnia on the night of Thu 12.� I had enough time to spend here as well as go to Niagara Falls before flying back to San Fran, followed by Sydney. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| It didn't stop when I got back from the states.� I caught up with Danni D (WA) on a Friday night, followed by Grant and Danielle (for Justin's birthday) the next day and then Party Angie wanted to catch up that night.� I was so tired by the night but the one thing that kept me going was recounting those great times I had on my trip.� To this day, people still want to talk about it! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One person that I had no problems chatting about travels was Cameron (an old work friend of Angie's), his brother Az + their mate Rohan.� The three were about to take off again for more travels but before they left we needed to have a few beers in Sydney town.� Like a pack of drunken sailors, we made a mockery of liquor licensing laws up and down George St after getting our head start at the Belgium Beer Cafe!� No doubt I had recovered by the time I got to meet up with Lesley (of Canada, who was here!� And to think that I didn't even get to see her in Canada) and her friend Lex, for a few beers before they had to travel back to SE Queensland for more sightseeing.� | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The first weekend of November started off with a night at the Mean Fiddler which was pretty tragic, considering how good it used to be.� I backed up the following night with a dj gig for my friend Jo (who turned 40) and we had all sorts of requests, the best one being "to turn the music down"...haha.� Sorry, I didn't bring that one with me tonight! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Later on I saw Dj A Trak spin some baile funk and crunk at The Basement before heading up into the mountains to meet up with my friend Ben who has finally moved out of rehab and into his own place!� Good on him I say!� I might be up there the weekend before NYE, we will wait and see how my plans unfold.� I also got to see Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon, The Datsuns and my tooth getting pulled out (it started wigging out during Pearl Jam)!� Needless to say that won't be the last time i go to the dentist... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I had to go on the morning of the 25th November but thankfully the dentist gave me the all clear for what was ahead!� In the day I went with Grant, Danielle and their kids to Lauren's BBBQ (not sure what the extra B stood for), followed by Paula's farewell party at Kings X that night.� It still hadnt sunken in that she would be gone for two years, nonetheless a lot of booze was drunken that night and then my sister left her own party at 2am, leaving me to play to a whole bunch of randoms for over two hours!!!� 80s rock and roll, you are my best friend!� I will need a best friend now that Baz has decided to also move to the UK with my sister!� He gets to go everywhere, not fair! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I went to my first homebake!!!� Normally i'm dancing in the Domain on New Years Day, but this time I was here for some pretty good Australian music!� I got to see N'fa, Little Birdy, The Butterfly Effect, You Am I, Hilltop Hoods, Infusion and The Presets! | This year I went a lot of places: up to the Central Coast, up to Queensland, west to Katoomba, and of course, over to the USA and Canada!� The first few months of '07 will see the Hoedown series with trips planned to Brisbane, Gladstone, the Gold Coast, Perth and eventually, Bathurst!� | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I've seen a few friendships fold and that's an unfortunate part of being someone who has seeked meaningful relationships with my friends.� I'm not sure if I made it clear in last year's annual, but it has been something I've stressed this year.� Relationships, in whatever kind they are, cannot be a one way process - they need to be mutually worked out.� People will need to understand that they need to put in their share to get the right results. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2007 will be a slow year for me personally; I'm in a little bit of debt thanks to the big trip overseas and I've decided to put a bit more focus on my health and wellbeing this year; this means joining health insurance and getting my teeth fixed!� Already I've done some major work and there is still more to be done, but its going to cost a bit more than I probably expected! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
