| Tiger Tamer is yet another hidden preference setter with a few unique features. No frills, just a bunch of handy tweaks in one place. Try Xupport or TinkerTool if you like documentation and a nice interface. Clix is also a good alternative. | ||||

| Tiger Tamer may break your computer. Do not even bother downloading it if you are not prepared for that. This is free, and there is no contact information, because I am not doing tech support. What this program does, with a few exceptions, is enable features in Apple software that Apple does not intend for use. Usually that is because the features are not well tested and may be buggy. It does this by editing preference files. This version adds a new tab for Xcode with several settings, a few of which may be useful to developers. There is now a feature to edit the spotlight filter rules that determine what folders to index. These rules are in addition to the hard coded internal rules used by mds, so you still do not have full control. The only documentation is through the pink question mark in the program. |
