FADN allows you to manage and categorize your pages in a very easy manner. You can add:Not only you can add documents, you can also specify title names which will appear in the left panel. Incase you are adding a Page, FADN gives you the facility of setting their titles as to the <TITLE> tag specified inside the documents.
- HTML Document individually
- A whole folder containing HTML Documents
- URLs linking to just about anything whether on the net, images on your hard disk, or etc.
NOTE: Titles cannot contain the following characters: \ / * ? " < > |
After adding pages/folders/URLs, you can modify their titles later on from Properties.
You can create categories in FADN so you can hold all similar type of documents under one head. There are two ways of creating categories:
- Add a Page in FADN at root level or click (select) any other Page, and then add Page, Folder, or URL. It will convert the selected Page into a category and add the new documents under this head.
NOTE: Categories can only be created out of single HTML documents ie. Page. Folders cannot be converted into categories as they are already a category; to add or remove file from Folders' category you will have to physically add or remove file from that folder. Also URLs cannot be converted into a category.
- Add a Folder at root level or inside another category. Files cannot be added or removed from a Folder unless physically added or removed from that folder. The Folder is very similar to a category but in terms of FADN, it is always denoted as a Folder and not category.
To remove topics, just select the topics and press Remove. Removing topics does not physically remove their respective files from the hard disk.
The following terms are used in FADN:
Topics Represent all documents in FADN Library whether they are Pages, Folders or URLs. Topic or Page A single HTML document that you can add and remove from Manage Pages and can also convert it into a category. Category When more pages, folders or URLs are added inside a Topic, it converts into a category.
