A NATION ROCKED TO SLEEP
-BY CARLY SHEEHAN

Army Spc. Casey Sheehan was killed in Baghdad on April 4, 2004. His younger sister, Carly, wrote this poem about her brother's death. Carly's poem has been posted at the Veterans for Peace memorial in Santa Barbara, California and is making quite an impact on those who have read it.

Have you ever heard the sound of a mother screaming for her son? The torrential rains of a mother's weaping will never be done. They call him a hero. You should be glad that he's the one, but... Have you ever heard the sound of a mother screaming for her son?
Have you ever heard the sound of a father holding back his cries? He must be brave, because his boy died for another man's lies The only grief he allows himself are long deep sighs Have you ever heard the sound of a father holding back his cries?
Have you ever heard the sound of taps played at your brother's grave? They say that he died, so that the flag will continue to wave But I believe he died because they had oil to save Have you ever heard the sound of taps played at your brother's grave?
Have you ever heard the sound of a nation being rocked to sleep? The leaders want to keep you numb, so the pain won't be so deep But if we the people let them continue, another mother will weep Have you ever heard the sound of a nation being rocked to sleep?

Dennis and Robbi had the privilege to be at the Crawford Peace House in Crawford, TX the day she arrived. We rode on the 'Impeachment Bus' with her to within miles of G W Bush's house and walked another mile or so with the wonderful crowd that came out to give their support.
We were also able to be at the Crawford Peace house at the unveiling of the Cindy Sheehan Sculpture!!!

APRIL 12--With the September 11 commission set to focus on intelligence and law enforcement failures prior to the 2001 terror attacks, warnings unheeded--or simply ignored--are central to analyzing whether CIA and FBI officials could have done more to derail Osama bin Laden's deadly plot.

Below are links to three government memos, all drafted prior to 9/11, containing red flags about possible terror threats.

As you notice, when there's a hole in the ground and a person is able to crawl into it in a country the size of California, it means we're on a scavenger hunt for terror, and find these terrorists who hide in holes is to get people coming forth to describe the location of the hole, is to give clues and data. And we're on it.
