| We are a pretty new punk band from Gresham, Oregon called Far From Nothing. Three dashing young college students with nothing to do but piss off our parents and neighbors with our loud fast paced catchy tunes. Formally known as Wasted Grace, we decided to change our name when our first guitarist left the band. Main influences range anywhere from Mxpx, and Pennywise to Metallica. Currently, we have 14 finished songs which we were able to play at a party in December of 2001for all of our friends. We thank everybody who showed up and gave us their support. Photo Finish first started when Travis was playing with their first guitarist Matt Clark in a somewhat hardcore band. They decided that they needed a new line up and after jamming out some Blink 182 covers in Travis' garage with their new drummer Andrew they decided to make a band. A search started for a bass player however they never found that certain bass player they were looking for so Travis decided he would just play bass and they would stick with one guitarist. After about a month of practicing covers they played their first show on October 16th, 2000 infront of a small crowd of 20 or so in Travis' garage under the name Wasted Grace. Shortly after they started writing their own songs and played their first club show at the Paris Theater with their friends from the 15 Minute Flairs and the notorius Moon Beast. Wasted Grace continued to write songs and play shows at The Paris Theater, and at their school. Towards the end of summer guitarist Matt Clark left the band and Wasted Grace picked up long time friend Nick Phillips to play. It was then that the band decided they needed a new name. With the new lineup they played a few shows at some houses and the yearbook party for their school. Shortly after that they began work on their first demo album. After an increadibly long 4 months, they finally found the right studio and finished their album. The band went on to record another acoustic cd, and a 10 song guitar and bass demo on Travis' computer. With again a new line up with Jeremey on guitar, they continue to write song after song and play as many shows as possible. |
