Introduction

Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of individuals, organizations and comities.  The mission of Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. is to provide diversity training and multicultural education that will result in positive community relations and leadership development.

Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. focuses on the importance of education and community building in minimizing and eliminating factors that foster racial discord and divide.  With an emphasis on experiential learning, Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. offers opportunities for individual and organizational learning.

Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. provides open enrollment and customized training, technical assistance, and consulting services.  The organization has been created as an extension of a highly acclaimed multicultural initiative involving educators, students, businesses and public agencies.  The National Multi-Ethnic Perspectives Conference began in 1996.  Attendance at the conference has grown from 168 at its inception to more than 400 in recent years.  The annual conference attracts presenters and participants from around the Unites States.

Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. is a national coalition of individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in matters of race, diversity, and community building.  Its membership includes educators, business and community representatives, public officials, consultants and students.  Its membership represents educational institutions, government and nonprofit agencies, community and faith-based organizations, and student associations.  Membership to Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. is open to individuals and organizations that share in its mission.

Goals:

Multi-Ethnic Perspectives, Inc. has the following goals:

* To provide information, training and technical assistance in communities and organizations confronting issues of race and diversity

* To strengthen the leadership capacity of youth, minority, community and faith-based organizations

* To increase the involvement of minority and underrepresented populations in governance processes

* To create active partnerships around issues of race, diversity and community
