Louie
I first saw him in a 2' x 2' x 2' cage at the City Of Ames Animal Shelter. The women at the shelter said that she was getting worried about him because it had been almost two months that he had been there. She was relived to hear that I wanted to take him home, and I was happy to do it. |

This feline has seen better days. Both his canine teeth have the bottom half broken off, and one of his ears has a slash through it... most likely from his days as a stray. He must of come from a good home though, because he almost never shys away from people. And he even meets me at the door when I get home from work.
He has also gone through two surgerys on his left ear... Due to a infection, he shook his head a lot, which caused him to break a blood vessel & his ear to swell up with blood. After the first surgery we had to keep the ear clear to let it drain.... for four weeks, while in a coned collar.... The same thing happend again two days after his sutures & collar were removed from the first surgery. Although he recovered quicker the second time around, his ear has become deformed from the swelling & sutures. |

They didn't know the real age of Louie at the Animal Shelter, he was a stray. The vet estimated his age to be between 6-8 years of age. He is by no means a kitten, and it shows by how lazy he is. He is extreamly doscile, and it take a lot to get him excited. He would best be represented by a some one that is retired, with no hobby. Although, with the addition of Whisper to the faimly, he has shown a lighter side.... he plays with her daily. |

Many of my evenings have been spent with Louie on my lap. Even if I don't pay any attention to him, he always wants to be right next to me. And I don't any any problem with that. |
