Agreements

The trade Union managed to sign (15) fifteen collective agreements with business owners. Fifteen thousand workers have benefited from them. They preserved to workers higher wages, better work conditions, free transportation and medical insurance and many other advantages. For the first time in Jordan we could agree with some factory to give its workers 5% of the annual net profit. Furthermore, the trade union signed historical agreement with one big company concerning a piece of land that the government granted to the workers for building housing. The struggle between the trade union and that company continued for 30 years. By this agreement it ended up with compensating (161) workers with US$ (352) Thousand.
